We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Senior Analyst to join our dynamic analytics team. This role is critical in transforming complex data into clear, actionable insights that optimize digital performance, and enhance customer experience. The ideal candidate will possess exceptional analytical abilities, advanced Excel proficiency, working knowledge of SQL, and expertise in web analytics platforms like Google Analytics and Adobe Analytics. You will be responsible for developing comprehensive reports, building insightful dashboards, and providing strategic recommendations based on data-driven findings across various digital channels, including website and email.
Key Responsibilities:
Advanced Data Analysis & Reporting:
- Proficiency in Excel including utilizing advanced functions (VLOOKUP, INDEX/MATCH, pivot tables, conditional formatting, macros/VBA a plus) to manipulate, analyze, and present large datasets effectively is a must.
- Query and extract data from various databases using SQL to support analytical projects, ad-hoc requests, and ongoing reporting needs.
- Translate complex data findings into clear, concise, and actionable insights and recommendations for various business units.
Dashboard Development & Visualization:
- Design, build, and maintain interactive dashboards and visualizations (e.g., in Tableau, Power BI, Looker Studio, or similar tools) to monitor key performance indicators (KPIs), track trends, and communicate performance to stakeholders.
- Ensure dashboards are user-friendly, accurate, and provide a single source of truth for critical business metrics.
Website Analytics Expertise:
- Conduct in-depth website performance analysis using Google Analytics and Adobe Analytics, identifying user behavior patterns, conversion funnels, traffic sources, and areas for optimization.
- Monitor key website metrics, identify anomalies, and provide proactive recommendations to improve site performance, user engagement, and conversion rates.
- Assist in the implementation and validation of web analytics tracking to ensure data accuracy and completeness.
Email Reporting & Analysis:
- Perform comprehensive analysis of email campaign performance, including open rates, click-through rates, conversion rates, subscriber engagement, and segmentation effectiveness.
- Provide insights into email marketing trends and recommend strategies for optimizing campaign performance and ROI.
Strategic Insights & Recommendations:
- Proactively identify opportunities for business improvement through data analysis, presenting findings and strategic recommendations to both technical and non-technical audiences.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to define data requirements, implement tracking solutions, and ensure data integrity across all platforms.
- Support A/B testing initiatives by analyzing results and providing recommendations for iteration and implementation.
Qualifications:
- Education: Bachelor's degree in Business, Marketing, Statistics, Economics, Computer Science, or a related quantitative field. Master's degree a plus.
- Experience: 3-5+ years of progressive experience in a data analysis, business intelligence, digital analytics, or similar analytical role.
- Exceptional MS Excel Skills: Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel, including complex formulas, pivot tables, data modeling, scenario analysis, and ideally, experience with VBA for automation.
- Working Knowledge of SQL: Solid experience writing SQL queries for data extraction, manipulation, and analysis from relational databases.
- Dashboarding & Visualization: Proven experience designing and building interactive dashboards using tools such as Tableau, Power BI, Looker Studio, Qlik Sense, or similar.
- Web Analytics Expertise: In-depth, hands-on experience with both Google Analytics and Adobe Analytics, including report generation, segment creation, and custom report development.
- Email Analytics: Familiarity with email marketing platforms (Adobe Camapign) and the ability to analyze email campaign performance metrics.
- Analytical & Problem-Solving Skills: Strong analytical, problem-solving, and critical thinking skills with the ability to interpret complex data, identify trends, and draw actionable conclusions.
- Communication: Excellent written and verbal communication and presentation skills, with the ability to explain complex data and technical concepts to non-technical stakeholders effectively.
- Attention to Detail: High level of accuracy and attention to detail in all analytical work.
- Self-Starter: Ability to work independently, manage multiple projects simultaneously, and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
- Background: The applicant must be able to pass a background check and must be a U.S. Citizen to work on this particular client.
Preferred Qualifications (Bonus Points):
- Experience with A/B testing methodologies and tools (e.g., Optimizely, Google Optimize).
- Familiarity with other marketing analytics platforms (e.g., CRM data, social media analytics).
- Experience with Python or R for statistical analysis.
- Understanding of data warehousing concepts.
