The Impact you will have:
The Scrum Master serves as a servant leader and facilitator for Agile development teams, ensuring Agile principles and frameworks (Scrum/Kanban) are effectively applied to deliver high-quality solutions and predictable outcomes. This role partners with product owners, developers, and stakeholders across departments to remove impediments, foster team accountability, and drive continuous improvement. The Scrum Master also plays a key role in maintaining transparency, alignment, and process consistency across projects.

What you will be doing:
- Understand and follow The VC3 Way—our set of standards and processes that ensure predictable, consistent results.
- Facilitate Agile ceremonies, including daily stand-ups, sprint planning, sprint reviews/demos, and retrospectives.
- Partner with product owners to refine and manage the backlog, ensuring sprint goals are clear and achievable.
- Protect the team from distractions and maintain focus on committed work.
- Monitor task progress and compliance with Agile tools (Azure DevOps/TFS, Jira, or equivalent).
- Track and communicate sprint and release progress to stakeholders.
- Foster collaboration, accountability, and conflict resolution within the team.
- Coach team members on Agile values, practices, and continuous improvement.
- Support release planning and cross-team coordination.
- Ensure compliance with applicable security and process requirements.
Additional Responsibilities
- Perform capacity planning and resource forecasting.
- Maintain sprint dashboards and performance metrics for visibility and accountability.
- Facilitate the prioritization and resolution of defects and bugs.
- Assist with internal and external communication to improve transparency.
- Contribute to organizational Agile adoption and maturity initiatives.
- Continue education in Agile practices and related disciplines.
- Perform special projects or duties as assigned.
The tools you bring:
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Business, or equivalent experience.
- 5 years of experience as a Scrum Master, Agile Project Manager, or similar role.
- Strong knowledge of Agile methodologies (Scrum, Kanban, SAFe) and proven ability to apply them.
- Certification preferred (CSM, PSM, or equivalent).
- Familiarity with software development, integration, or IT service delivery.
- MSP (Managed Service Provider) or enterprise IT environment experience a plus.
- Experience with Agile tools (Azure DevOps/TFS, Jira, Confluence, or similar).
- Excellent facilitation, communication, and conflict-resolution skills.
- Ability to coach and mentor teams toward self-organization and high performance.
