HOW YOU WILL MAKE AN IMPACT
The Judging & Talent Team Member supports the Judging & Talent department in coordinating, training, and managing judges and convention faculty across all OneBeat Dance Brands events and also supports Dance Forward partner outreach initiatives. This role ensures that judge communications and feedback processes run smoothly throughout the year while assisting with outreach, coordination, and relationship management for Dance Forward partners. The position requires strong attention to detail, excellent organization, and effective communication with judges, directors, partners, and internal teams to maintain high standards of professionalism and event quality.
WHAT YOU WILL DO
Recruitment & Hiring
· Review judge and convention faculty applications and conduct first-round interviews.
· Help identify and recommend top candidates for further review by the Judging & Talent Manager.
· Support outreach for new Convention and Judge Faculty and assist in managing the application process.
Feedback & Communication
· Compile and send weekly feedback emails from judge and director critiques.
· Distribute and review judge and client survey results with the team.
· Create and distribute Judge Newsletters and updates throughout the season.
Dance Forward Partnerships & Outreach
· Spearhead initial outreach to dance programs, organizations, colleges, and additional partners to invite participation to our Dance Forward event.
· Manage and track partnership outreach, communications, and progress throughout the engagement process.
· Send partnership agreements, collect required materials (including logos), and maintain organized records.
· Serve as the liaison for partners, supporting relationship management and ensuring clear, consistent communication.
Administrative Support
· Maintain accurate and organized digital files for judges, training materials, and event records.
QUALIFICATIONS
KNOWLEDGE/SKILLS/ABILITIES
· Strong organizational and administrative skills with excellent attention to detail.
· Proficiency in Microsoft Office and comfort learning internal systems (OneBeat Reg, Ramp, etc.).
· Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
· Ability to manage multiple projects and timelines throughout the event season.
· Strong interpersonal skills and ability to work collaboratively with a range of team members and talent.
· Knowledge of or experience in the dance competition/convention industry preferred.
· Ability to maintain confidentiality and exercise discretion in handling sensitive information.
· Flexibility to work extended or irregular hours during peak event and training periods.
EDUCATION/EXPERIENCE
· Bachelor’s degree in Arts Administration, Business, Communications, or related field (or equivalent experience).
· 1–3 years of experience in event coordination, talent management, or performing arts administration.
