WORK TYPE: Onsite Monday-Thursday and Work from Home Friday

TRAVEL REQUIREMENT: Travel is minimal, with occasional travel to events, meetings, or company offices as needed.



HOW YOU WILL MAKE AN IMPACT

The Technology Manager, Marketing Operations is responsible for the ownership, execution, and optimization of Varsity Spirit’s marketing technology ecosystem, data infrastructure, and operational processes that support growth across B2B and consumer audiences. This role ensures systems are integrated, secure, scalable, and aligned to support marketing execution and business objectives.

This position partners closely with Marketing, Digital, Sales, IT, Finance, and external vendors to operationalize marketing initiatives through reliable platforms, automation, and data management.



WHAT YOU WILL DO

Marketing Technology Ownership

  • Own the administration, configuration, and performance of the marketing technology stack, including CRM, marketing automation, email and SMS platforms, website integrations, and analytics tools.
  • Ensure systems are properly integrated and architected to support lead management, event marketing, customer engagement, and revenue tracking.
  • Oversee system upgrades, enhancements, and technical implementations.
  • Maintain documentation of system architecture, workflows, governance standards, and data structures.
  • Manage marketing automation architecture, including lead lifecycle stages, scoring models and segmentation logic.
  • Oversee attribution framework and performance measurement models including multi-touch attribution and marketing-sourced versus influenced revenue definitions.

Data Infrastructure, Campaign Execution & Reporting

  • Own marketing data integrity, governance, and compliance with applicable privacy regulations.
  • Support the marketing team with audience segmentation for campaign execution
  • Ensure consistent and accurate data flow between marketing platforms, CRM and Snowflake
  • Develop and maintain dashboards and reporting frameworks to measure revenue impact and customer engagement.
  • Provide analysis that supports informed decision-making across marketing and leadership teams.
  • Establish data quality standards and SLAs for lead routine, campaign execution accuracy and database health
  • Partner with Data/BI teams to support customer 360 initiatives, identify resolution and unified customer data strategy
  • Explore and implement AI-driving segmentation, predictive lead scoring and personalization capabilities to enhace campaign performance.

Systems Integration and Process Optimization

  • Partner with IT on system integrations, API connections, data architecture, and security protocols.
  • Identify and implement automation solutions that reduce manual processes and increase operational efficiency.
  • Support budgeting and vendor evaluation related to marketing technology investments.
  • Ensure appropriate access controls, documentation and audit readiness in alignment with enterprise security and compliance standards.Vendor and Stakeholder Management
  • Serve as the primary technical point of contact for marketing technology vendors.
  • Support implementation timelines, performance reviews, and ongoing platform optimization.
  • Train and support marketing team members on tools, processes, and data best practices.

Supervisory Responsibility

  • May manage marketing technology or operations team members as the function evolves.
  • Expected to provide thought leadership and operational direction to cross-functional partners

QUALIFICATIONS

KNOWLEDGE/SKILLS/ABILITIES

  • Strong understanding of marketing data architecture, integrations, APIs, and reporting frameworks.
  • Proven ability to manage technical implementations and cross-functional initiatives.
  • Strong technical and operational execution capabilities.
  • High attention to detail with a focus on system reliability and data accuracy.
  • Analytical mindset with the ability to translate data into actionable insights.
  • Ability to manage multiple platforms and priorities in a fast-paced, seasonal business environment.
  • Clear communicator who can translate technical concepts to non-technical stakeholders.

EDUCATION/EXPERIENCE

  • Bachelor’s degree in Marketing, Information Systems, Business, or related field.
  • 5 or more years of experience in Marketing Technology, Marketing Operations, or related technical roles.
  • Hands-on experience administering CRM and marketing automation platforms, preferably Salesforce and related tools.
  • Experience supporting both B2B and consumer marketing environments preferred.
  • Experience designing and managing customer lifecycle frameworks, attribution models and demand generation enablement processes.

  • This job operates in a professional office environment. Largely a sedentary role with some filing requiring the ability to lift files, open filing cabinets and bending or standing on a stool as necessary. Ability to sit or stand for long periods through meetings and while operating office equipment, PC’s, laptop, telephone will be required.​
