WORK TYPE: Full-time, Hybrid in Memphis


LOCATION: Memphis, Tennessee - Hybrid


TRAVEL REQUIREMENT: Travel is minimal, any travel would be primarily local during the business day, although some out-of-the-area and overnight travel may be expected for meetings.


HOW YOU WILL MAKE AN IMPACT:

The Manager, Finance & Analytics serves as a strategic partner to operational and finance leadership, driving financial performance across All Star and School Events. This role oversees budgeting, forecasting, and long-range planning processes while leading a team responsible for delivering accurate financial analysis and actionable insights. The Manager will develop and refine complex financial models, evaluate business performance, and guide pricing and cost management strategies to ensure consistent profitability. Success in this role requires exceptional analytical acumen, strong business partnership skills, and the ability to translate financial data into clear, strategic recommendations that support operational excellence and organizational growth.


WHAT YOU WILL DO

  • Partner with operational management to advise on financial decisions that ensure the success and profitability of All Star and School Competitions.

  • Lead, engage, and motivate the Camps and Competitions finance team to provide financial transparency, improve operational efficiency, and drive profitable growth, through partnership with their business counterparts.

  • Prepare accurate monthly financial outlooks for the event business by partnering with Business Unit Controller & Event Operations Leaders.

  • Lead the annual long-range planning, quarterly forecasting, and budgeting cycles for the event business, ensuring alignment across finance and operations.

  • Partner with the Pricing and Analytics team to develop pricing models for camps, competitions, and special events that maintain consistent margins season after season. Present pricing analyses and recommendations to leadership for review and approval.

  • Create, manage, and refine complex financial models to support decision-making across all aspects of the business.

  • Identify areas for cost optimization, implement cost-saving initiatives, and monitor expenses against budgeted targets for the entire business.

  • Analyze complex financial data, identify trends, and communicate meaningful insights to both technical and non-technical audiences.

  • Work with Business Unit Controller on key business estimates for receivable reserves and rebate liabilities during period end close.

  • Lead, coach, and develop the Finance Analyst team who support financial planning for camps and competitions.


QUALIFICATIONS:

KNOWLEDGE/SKILLS/ABILITIES

  • Advanced proficiency with Microsoft Excel (power query, macros, and data modeling)

  • Strong familiarity with productivity tools such as Microsoft Office Suites

  • Working knowledge of finance and accounting processes and principles; Knowledge of GAAP

  • Keen analytical and problem-solving skills, with ability to learn new systems and processes quickly

  • Proficiency in financial modeling techniques and ability to interpret complex data.

  • Excellent communication skills with the ability to present financial information clearly to diverse audiences.

  • Project management skills and ability to multi- task and manage competing priorities

  • Strong analytical and data gathering skills.

  • Proven ability to work independently as well as collaboratively across teams.


EDUCATION/EXPERIENCE

  • Bachelor’s degree in accounting, finance, economics, or a related field required.

  • Master’s degree (MBA, MS in Finance, or Master of Accounting) strongly preferred.

  • Minimum of 5–10 years of progressive experience in financial planning and analysis, management accounting, or corporate finance.

  • 2+ years of supervisory or team leadership experience.

  • Professional certification such as CMA (Certified Management Accountant), FPAC (Certified Corporate FP&A Professional), or CPA (Certified Public Accountant) highly preferred.

  • Experience with financial modeling, budgeting systems, and data analytics tools (e.g., Power BI, Adaptive Insights, or similar) is an advantage

This job operates in a professional office environment. Largely a sedentary role with some filing requiring the ability to lift files, open filing cabinets and bending or standing on a stool as necessary. Ability to sit or stand for long periods through meetings and while operating office equipment, PC’s, laptop, telephone will be required.
