HOW YOU WILL MAKE AN IMPACT

Varsity Spirit is looking for a Content Specialist – Apparel to join our marketing team at the Varsity Spirit headquarters in Memphis, TN. The ideal candidate is a creative powerhouse with a sharp eye for social trends and a passion for crafting standout content. A natural storyteller and digital creative who’s deeply immersed in social culture and knows what’s trending, why it matters, and how to tailor it to bring our brand voice to life.

WHAT YOU WILL DO

Social Media

• Own social media strategy, posting and customer engagement for Varsity Spirit Fashion and Varsity All Star Fashion accounts.
• Collaborate with the Varsity Spirit social media team to develop and implement content strategies that effectively promote apparel products across Varsity Spirit’s social media accounts.
• Manage on-site fashion-focused social content capture at events and photoshoots.
• Engage with audiences and customers by responding to any inquiries and comments for Varsity Spirit Fashion and Varsity All Star Fashion on social accounts. Aligning on messaging with communications and customer service teams to provide high-quality assistance. Assist with managing our Fashion content crew, social media brand ambassadors, and influencer partnerships by supporting content coordination, communication, and campaign execution.

Content Marketing

• Partner with Director of Marketing - Fashion to plan and execute integrated marketing campaigns, ensuring that fashion content aligns with broader marketing initiatives and objectives.
• Develop and deliver content for paid media, web, and email channels to support key business objectives and marketing initiatives as needed.
• Maintain in-depth knowledge of apparel products and consistently stay informed on current product offerings, sales strategies, and emerging trends in the market.
• Monitor content performance and engagement metrics, utilize analytics tools to gain insights and make data-driven decisions to optimize future content strategies.
• Assist in developing content and campaign strategies across various mediums for new product launches including growing product categories such as footwear, band wear and dance wear.
• Own the content creation process from start to finish. Includes shooting, editing, captioning, and posting engaging Reels, Stories, and static posts.

QUALIFICATIONS

KNOWLEDGE/SKILLS/ABILITIES ​

• Well-organized and detail-oriented with the ability to coordinate and execute multiple tasks in a lean, fast-paced, results-driven environment.
• Team player with cross-functional communication skills – this person will interact with multiple facets of the organization and drive results through collaboration.
• Approaches tasks with creativity, passion, and integrity.

EDUCATION/EXPERIENCE

• BS/BA in marketing, communications or equivalent
• 1- 3 years of Marketing, Communications or related field experience preferred
• Social media marketing experience a plus
• A background in both school and all star cheerleading required
• Varsity Spirit camp staff experience a plus
