The Senior Manager, Territory Management (analyst) will join the Herff Jones Sales Operations team to support the transformation of the business and deliver value for the Sales organization. As a key member of the team, you will be responsible for analyzing and reporting the metrics, KPIs and financial performance our Sales leaders rely upon to drive activity and results. You are a self-starter who is able to work independently and partner with key Sales stakeholders to derive and communicate results. You have experience working in or supporting Sales organizations and have familiarity with tools & technologies required to synthesize, analyze and communicate sales information (i.e., Alteryx, Power BI, Tableau, etc.). You have the ability to independently conduct requirements gathering with key stakeholders and distill outputs into action plans and deliverables.
Location: Flexible – Indianapolis or Remote
WHAT YOU'LL DO
- Analyze data; generate insights to inform Sales and Sales leadership actions and decisions
- Independently facilitate working sessions with stakeholders to derive data & reporting requirements
- Generate and test business hypotheses relevant to Goals and Objectives of the Sales team and Sales Leadership
- Create and maintain visualizations and reports to be used by leadership for pipeline management, account planning, tracking wins/losses, and other Sales ops actions
- Partners with Sales Enablement & IT teams to automate reporting & data quality
- Support Sales pipeline generation and reviews, in partnership with Finance
CORE ACTIVITIES
- Collaborate with IT, Territory Management and others as needed to ensure data is useable, accurate, current and actionable across Sales technologies (i.e., CRM) and data repositories
- Support enterprise-wide efforts to improve overall data architecture, access, quality and consistency
- Work in close collaboration with Demand Forecasting Analysts to partner on demand planning efforts
- Support the Director, Revenue Operations in developing and communicating revenue forecasts
- Design, calculate, and create repeatable process for calculation of Sales KPIs, coverage models and territory analyse
WHAT YOU BRING
- Strong analytical thinking and problem solving skills
- Experience working with large data sets – e.g., data extraction, generating reports / PivotTables
- Ability to independently ideate and test business hypotheses with focus on value, pragmatism, and rigor
- Strong data visualization & communication skills (e.g., Tableau, PowerPoint, etc.)
- Direct experience with BI, data query & reporting tools (e.g., Alteryx, PowerBI, Tableau, etc.)
- Strong written and verbal comms skills to translate analysis into business action implications
- Has an enthusiastic "roll up your sleeves" mentality; able to take proactive and full ownership
- Strong teaming and collaboration skills
- Experience working with CRM systems a plus
- Experience working with manufacturing organizations a plus
EDUCATION/CERTIFICATIONS
- Bachelors degree from an accredited university
- Advanced degree in business or other analytical disciplines a plus
