Grants & Contracts Administrator II - Department of Oncology

The Grants & Contracts Administrator II is responsible for assisting in the support of grants, contracts, and subcontracts from initial application through termination; working with faculty/PIs and Administrative Staff to ensure that grant applications are submitted appropriately. This position has access to and regularly works with information of a sensitive and confidential nature.
Please note: This is a full-time, onsite position.
The preferred candidate for this role will have experience assembling and submitting grants (governmental, foundational, or NIH grants), and experience with Workday is a plus.
Job Responsibilities:
Support/coordinate management of grants and sponsored programs (e.g., preparation and review of proposal documents including budget, monitoring of subawards, award lifecycle management) more independently.
Read, interpret, disseminate and apply federal and other sponsor guidelines and regulatory compliance requirements to support investigators and other relevant teams.
Coordinate with members from research teams, sponsor institutions and other teams to facilitate standard issue resolution and escalate as needed.
Manage negotiation of standard terms and conditions associated with basic non-industrial sponsored research agreements to ensure consistency with institutional policies.
Participate in process improvement initiatives within the team through suggestions and executing assigned tasks.
Contribute to the development, preparation, revision, and finalization of project budgets and providing budget justifications.
Serve as a liaison between centralized institutional grant and legal offices on behalf of the faculty, Support with the departmental financial approvals and reconciliations.
Minimum Education and/or Training:
Bachelor's degree required.
Minimum Experience:
Minimum Requirement: 2+ years of experience in financial administration processes as applicable to grants and sponsored programs.
Experience in relevant regulations as applicable to grants and sponsored programs.
Some experience coordinating with cross-functional teams.
Prior Workday experience strongly preferred.
Strong NIH experience is highly desired.

Compensation
In recognition of certain U.S. state and municipal pay transparency laws, St. Jude is including a reasonable estimate of the compensation range for this role. This is an estimate offered in good faith and a specific salary offer takes into account factors that are considered in making compensation decisions including but not limited to skill sets, experience and training, licensure and certifications, and other business and organizational needs. It is not typical for an individual to be hired at or near the top of the salary range and compensation decisions are dependent on the facts and circumstances of each case.
