Job Description
The Senior Advisor, Technology Services plays a pivotal role in fostering a culture of collaboration, integrated strategy, and deep partnership between ITS, the ALSAC enterprise, and our portfolio of technology and business partners. This role is responsible for shaping and executing operational strategies within a designated focus area, ensuring alignment with enterprise goals and driving measurable outcomes.
This is a high‑visibility, enterprise-facing role at the intersection of business strategy, fundraising, and technology. The Senior Advisor partners deeply with leaders across the organization to translate complex business needs into integrated product and platform strategies—shaping roadmaps, connecting teams, and driving outcomes that matter. Success in this role comes from influence, collaboration, strategic thinking, and the ability to turn shared vision into tangible results. In this position, you will proactively monitor, manage, and mitigate risks across major strategic domains—including business process integration, IT governance, and additional technology service areas as assigned. You will champion continuous improvement, connecting teams, ideas, and opportunities to ensure cohesive strategies and operational plans across the organization. Ultimately, your leadership drives results by ensuring that solutions delivered across business units are complete, integrated, and responsive to ALSAC’s evolving needs.
Essential Job Functions
Champion Cross‑Team Collaboration
Works closely with ITS Leadership and Organizational Development teams to strengthen alignment and integration across functional areas. Ensures consistent, productive partnerships across multiple levels of leadership.
Serve as the “Voice of the Business Partner”
Represents business needs, strategic priorities, and organizational goals in discussions with ITS and Platform Leadership. Demonstrates the ability to learn and articulate platform products, vision, and long‑term objectives.
Model and Foster Flexibility
Demonstrates adaptability and encourages the same among ITS team members and business partners to support evolving organizational and technology needs.
Enable Technology Adoption
Helps business partners understand, adopt, and effectively utilize technology solutions that support enterprise goals.
Operationalize Processes and Systems
Collaborates with Strategy, Operations, and cross-functional teams to design, test, deploy, and institutionalize business processes and systems that enhance cross-team effectiveness.
Build Organizational Norms and Behaviors
Drives alignment between processes, systems, and the organizational behaviors required to support them.
Navigate the Enterprise with Influence
Uses social and political capital to work effectively across the organization, building consensus and accelerating progress.
Lead in Varied ITS Settings
Serves in a leadership capacity as needed—internally with ALSAC teams and externally with vendors. Ensures platform vision and strategy are clearly communicated and understood by stakeholders.
Translate Strategy Into Actionable Plans
Works alongside ITS and Platform Leadership to convert strategic vision into operational plans that resonate with and motivate business partners. Leverages strong interpersonal and presentation skills to enhance clarity and drive commitment.
Communicate Complex Information Seamlessly
Helps translate technical projects into compelling business-facing narratives and presentations. Thrives in an ambiguous and evolving environment while promoting a dynamic, forward‑looking ITS strategy.
Job Requirements:
- 7+ years of experience in fundraising, IT operations, communications, supplier/vendor management, or related fields
- Demonstrated experience with progressive leadership responsibilities, such as supervision, budgeting, strategic planning, organizational development, or fundraising (preferred)
- Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Management, Information Systems, Communications, or a related field
- Strong interpersonal influence, strategic thinking, and communication skills
- Ability to navigate ambiguity, build cross-functional alignment, and lead without formal authority
