Collaborates with internal and external teams to develop and execute content strategies that achieve program objectives and support audience-centric goals, including acquisition, reactivation, retention, cultivation, solicitation, and stewardship.

Essential Job Functions

  • Analyze and interpret historical and current data to guide strategic content direction, ensuring short- and long-term objectives are met. Monitor market trends, conduct competitive analyses, and research sister charity fundraising efforts.
  • Partner with internal teams to understand strategic priorities and translate St. Jude breakthroughs into compelling fundraising strategies. Communicate content plans effectively, provide updates, and solicit feedback to ensure alignment. Collaborate with writers, designers, production coordinators, and project managers to execute strategies.
  • Simplify complex planned giving concepts and scientific/medical information into persuasive, accessible language. Model best practices for writing and messaging in planned giving. Ensure all content adheres to style guides, brand standards, and messaging guidelines.
  • Train, mentor, and support other writers in creating strategic, revenue-generating content that meets fundraising objectives.
  • Drive continuous improvement through process evaluations, recommendations, and testing new strategies. Recommend testing, retesting, or rollouts based on results.
  • Review, proofread, and revise content during development and routing phases for accuracy, clarity, consistency, and adherence to strategy. Ensure all requested changes are incorporated at each approval stage.
  • Assist in onboarding and training new team members, providing guidance on strategy, processes, analysis, and communication.
  • Oversee execution of assigned plans to ensure alignment with business objectives and strengthen St. Jude’s fundraising impact.
  • Represent ALSAC-St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital professionally and positively in all interactions.
