Job Description
As a Senior Business Analyst, you will serve as a key liaison between business stakeholders and Agile development teams. You will drive product strategy, validate outcomes, and monitor performance to ensure alignment with organizational goals. Your work will directly influence the digital experiences that support our donors and fundraising initiatives.
Key Responsibilities
Strategic Analysis & Product Development
- Lead the discovery and definition of product architecture and business needs using advanced analysis tools and techniques.
- Translate stakeholder requirements into clear, actionable goals for Agile teams.
- Facilitate sprint planning, backlog grooming, and iterative delivery cycles.
Data-Driven Decision Making
- Analyze and synthesize data from multiple sources to uncover insights and inform product decisions.
- Promote a test-and-learn culture to continuously optimize product performance and user value.
Stakeholder Engagement & Leadership
- Facilitate cross-functional collaboration with UX, design, development, QA, and product teams.
- Resolve conflicts around scope, design, and requirements with minimal guidance.
- Influence decision-making across all levels of the organization.
Technical Expertise
- Demonstrate strong understanding of APIs (REST/SOAP), relational databases, and integration workflows.
- Create and maintain documentation including BRDs, FSDs, data mappings, test cases, and change logs.
- Interpret JSON/XML, perform SQL queries, and validate data integrity.
Innovation & Continuous Improvement
- Stay current with emerging technologies and digital trends.
- Leverage market intelligence, analytics, donor research, and stakeholder feedback to inform product strategy.
- Propose innovative solutions that enhance product quality and user experience.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in a related field.
- Minimum of 5 years of experience in business analysis within digital marketing or IT environments.
- Proven success in Agile, Scrum, or other software delivery methodologies.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with the ability to troubleshoot complex workflows.
- Excellent communication skills with the ability to translate between technical and non-technical audiences.
- Experience with tools such as SQL, Excel, Microsoft Office, Visio, and Microsoft Project.
- Familiarity with analytics platforms (e.g., Adobe Analytics, Google Analytics).
- Understanding of security and compliance standards including OAuth, JWT, and data privacy regulations.
- Experience with web-based applications, content management systems, ecommerce, and fundraising platforms.
Preferred Skills
- Expertise in API lifecycle management and integration design.
- Knowledge of personalization, mobile optimization, and testing strategies.
- Strong leadership and influence across cross-functional teams.
- Ability to thrive in a dynamic, team-oriented environment.
This position will be based at our National Executive Office in Memphis, TN and be eligible for hybrid work.
