Job Description
Enterprise Marketing is responsible for bringing the St. Jude brand to life through ambitious, audience-led campaigns and bold activations that push the brand to new heights.
The Advisor is crucial in designing and implementing cohesive, multi-channel marketing campaigns and robust planning. This role also focuses on creating inspiring and memorable integrated brand experiences. This individual collaborates with Marketing Management and Leadership as well as internal/external business partners to develop strategies that drive increased revenue, integration, and brand affinity among target audiences. The ideal candidate will lead the strategy, planning, creative, activation, and analysis phases of campaigns and brand initiatives, steering cross-functional strategic discussions and socializing marketing initiatives across the organization. It will leverage organizational understanding to support strategic alignment, organizational buy-in, feasibility and ROI—particularly for new opportunities. Ensure campaign and initiatives alignment with the overall ALSAC strategic plan and driving integration/adoption across all divisions. Consult and support departments throughout the marketing process and track campaign and integrated planning performance in the marketplace.
ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS
1. Lead cross-functional teams to discover, incubate, design, prototype, and launch game-changing campaigns and opportunities for the St. Jude brand.
2. Responsible for enterprise-wide campaigns and strategic brand initiatives for the organization. Leads the annual development, planning and implementation of campaign cycle.
3. Work across multiple teams to promote understanding, commitment, and capabilities specific to Marketing. Shares feedback on the methods, processes, and tools to be used to foster improved campaign integration and innovative approaches in support of strategic goals and objectives. Advise on metrics.
4. Develop and maintain strong relationships with all internal and external stakeholders to drive strategic and operational campaign planning and brand activations activities. Requires independent and critical decision-making skills, including involvement of Audience Planning and Enterprise Marketing senior staff as needed. Must have familiarity with audience segments and fundraising programs/activations.
5. Actively listens and uses appropriate communication styles to deliver information in an articulate, understandable, and engaging way. Uses knowledge of enterprise strategies and priorities as context for decision making. Keeps leaders and peers informed about key issues or opportunities.
6. Demonstrate managerial courage by challenging the status quo in all directions when they are no longer effective and become barriers to growth. Help facilitate Discovery sessions and other workshops in order to foster open thinking around new opportunities and capabilities.
7. Engages in enterprise innovation projects and activities to help foster a culture of innovation and increase the quality and quantity of enterprise-wide campaigns and brand initiatives that have awareness and/or revenue potential for the organization. Seeks to continually improve personal and departmental skill sets by committing to training, professional networking and seminars, and other appropriate continuous learning opportunities.
8. Collaborate across all divisions to pilot concepts, explore new channels, identify customer-focused solutions, and promote/evangelize marketing integration. Contribute strategic input on the management of enterprise-wide campaign opportunities focused on high potential opportunity spaces, including e-commerce, digital, multicultural audiences, and new business models.
9. Represents ALSAC/St. Jude by speaking with key external audiences for the purpose of developing and fostering new relationships. Uses high degree of communications and marketing skills to foster new relationships by telling the St. Jude story.
10. Works across the enterprise to prepare presentations, which may include presentation booklets, videos, and graphic presentations. Participates in cross-divisional planning meetings, developing relationships with staff members across the organization and leverage extensive knowledge of industry trends to develop strategic solutions.
The ideal candidate is a highly collaborative team player capable of driving cross-functional initiatives in a matrixed and multi-layered environment. Excel at building and maintaining strong relationships with various stakeholders and is outcome-focused and collaborative in the approach. Proficiency in producing written and visual communications, presentation design skills, and a high degree of business acumen and executive presence are essential. Demonstrated proficiency in Microsoft Office products (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, etc.) is required.
- Requires a Bachelor's Degree and 6+ years of practical experience; 1+ year managing people &/or leading cross-functional teams. May substitute education with 10 years of practical experience with 6 years of managing teams, vendors and/or processes.

- Highly creative and analytical thinker with the ability to create a vision and articulate strategy.
- Diverse business experience encompassing design thinking, campaign strategy, and integrated planning.

- Proven communication skills, both verbal and written, with internal and external stakeholders at various levels, including senior executives, simplifying complex information clearly.
