Job Description

The Principal Advisor, Channel and Media Analytics is a senior-level individual contributor responsible for leading the development and execution of a comprehensive measurement strategy across paid, owned, and earned media channels. This role is pivotal in delivering actionable insights that drive marketing effectiveness, optimize channel performance, and inform strategic decisions for business stakeholders and executive leadership.

Success in this role is measured by the ability to lead and evolve measurement strategies both within and across media channels, leveraging an aggregated media data stack to support optimization and build toward advanced methodologies such as Marketing Mix Modeling (MMM) and Multi-Touch Attribution (MTA).

Key Responsibilities

  • Strategic Measurement Leadership

    • Design and implement advanced media measurement strategies aligned with campaign planning and post-campaign analysis.

    • Continuously evolve performance frameworks to reflect changing business needs and industry best practices.

  • Stakeholder Partnership & Insight Delivery

    • Act as a strategic thought partner to marketing and business teams, proactively identifying opportunities to enhance media performance.

    • Deliver synthesized performance narratives and strategic recommendations to senior leadership and cross-functional teams.

  • Cross-Channel Optimization

    • Collaborate with media, content, and experience teams to refine KPIs, success metrics, and diagnostics that support broader business objectives.

    • Identify gaps in current measurement approaches and lead initiatives to address them through advanced analytics or new methodologies.

  • Data Storytelling & Executive Communication

    • Champion the use of data storytelling to translate complex analytical findings into compelling, executive-level narratives.

    • Ensure insights are actionable and aligned with strategic decision-making.

  • Tools, Reporting & Infrastructure

    • Enhance and maintain dashboards and reporting tools for clarity, scalability, and strategic impact.

    • Partner with data engineering, marketing, and product teams to improve data pipelines and ensure alignment across systems.

  • Innovation & Industry Awareness

    • Evaluate analytics tools and platforms, recommending enhancements or new solutions to improve measurement capabilities.

    • Stay current on industry trends and innovations in media measurement, bringing forward ideas to advance analytics maturity.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in marketing, Data Science, Statistics, Business Analytics, or a related field. Master's degree preferred.

  • 5+ years of experience in marketing analytics, with a strong focus on media performance across paid, owned, and earned channels.

  • Deep expertise in digital analytics platforms (e.g., Adobe Analytics, Google Analytics), media platforms (e.g., Meta, Google Ads), and data visualization tools (e.g., Tableau, Power BI).

  • Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel for data manipulation, modeling, and reporting.

  • Proficiency in SQL and experience with big data environments (e.g., AWS, Teradata) is a plus.

  • Exceptional communication skills with the ability to translate complex data into clear, actionable insights for executive audiences.

  • Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities, with a keen eye for detail.

  • Self-driven and results-oriented, with the ability to lead initiatives independently and influence cross-functional stakeholders.
