Job Description
We are seeking a dynamic and experienced Senior Analyst to join our development team. In this role, you will be responsible for designing and executing comprehensive analytics projects to measure and communicate performance. Your insights will support program, channel, and audience strategies, guiding business stakeholders in understanding impacts, risks, and opportunities.
Key Responsibilities:
Strategic Analysis: Conduct key quantitative and qualitative studies of fundraising activities to inform and support strategic decisions. Create compelling stories with actionable insights that demonstrate a deep understanding of business strategies and data.
Performance Insights: Provide insights into current and future performance trends through comprehensive analytical projects. Facilitate performance discussions with strategy stakeholders to drive informed decision-making.
Collaboration: Work closely with strategy stakeholders, campaign architects, and data scientists to translate business questions into flexible tools and dashboards.
Data Visualization: Transform business needs and results into intuitive visual packages to identify patterns and trends. Communicate analytical insights effectively through a range of creative visualizations.
Tool Development: Enhance or develop self-service tools such as forecasting tools or dashboards within your area of expertise, leveraging your advanced understanding of functional area strategies and data.
Data Integrity: Contribute to the development of data infrastructure and integrity to support meaningful donor and prospect experiences through active participation in the Data Stewards community.
Mentorship and Training: Drive continual learning within the Development Analytics team by sharing your subject matter expertise through mentorship and training sessions. Collaborate on analytical projects to provide a broader understanding of the impact of Development strategies.
Communication: Utilize strong communication skills to share analytical insights across business partners, informing functional area strategy.
Representation: Represent ALSAC-St. Jude Children's Research Hospital positively, reflecting our commitment to excellence in fundraising and support for our mission.
Qualifications:
- Extensive experience with Microsoft tools such as Excel, Access, and PowerPoint.
- Intermediate SQL coding experience.
- Proficiency with data preparation and transformation tools like Tableau Prep, Alteryx, etc.
- Experience developing dashboard visualizations using tools like Tableau, Power BI, Looker, SAP, etc.
- Strong verbal and written communication skills for internal and external relations.
- Ability to understand and follow complex verbal or written instructions.
- Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience (minimum of 3 years).
