Job Description

Serve as the lead in the design, build, and maintenance of technical processes and data flows within and across Platforms and products. Work directly with the Enterprise Architects to ensure architecture standards, technical processes, and business processes are in alignment and delivering best practice solutions. The expectation of this role will be to have holistic knowledge and understanding of data flow across products, in depth knowledge and understanding of technical processes, and serve as the subject matter expert, i.e., technical authority.

Essential Job Functions

1. Design, build, and maintain technical processes, applying the principles of software engineering that spans multiple technologies, programming languages, and database structures.

2. Communicate effectively/work with business and tech leads, software engineering managers, enterprise architects within and across Platforms to provide alignment across technical and business processes for projects, enhancements, and issue resolution and explore/introduce new cutting-edge technology.

3. Organize, plan, lead, architect and execute large scale technical projects, upgrades, or implementations.

4. Update job knowledge by studying state-of-the-art development tools, programming techniques and computing equipment; participating in educational opportunities; reading professional publications; maintaining personal networks; participating in professional organizations.

5. Works with business analysts and customers to resolve problems and help plan for future needs. Involves working within an established office environment under normal lighting and climate controls.

6. Works with users to understand use of systems and system enhancement or modification needs.

7. Uses computer and analysis knowledge to analyze, design, and write new application systems. Involves color perception to design color enhanced computer screens.

JOB REQUIREMENTS:

  • Extensive working knowledge in Java, Spring Boot, JPA, UNIX, SQL Server, Oracle PL/SQL, REST API, Web Services, Web/Mobile based applications, and Cloud products, specifically Oracle Fusion ERPs and Salesforce eCommerce, Business Manager, and Order Management System.
  • Requires large scale experience in software designs and development.
  • Comprehensive working knowledge of database structures, on premise and cloud.
  • Requires substantial knowledge on process modeling, data modeling, database design, and specification creation.
  • Strong organization, planning, communication, and technical skills, capable of delivering on multiple competing priorities with minimum supervision.
  • Stay abreast of best practices in development and follow standardized coding conventions.
  • Knowledge in project planning, management and deployment is a plus.
  • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, Engineering, Math or related field and 8+ years technical, analytical, systems and programming experience.
