Job Description

As a Sr. Advisor for Dinners, Galas & Golf, you will play an important role in shaping our assigned program format's overall strategy and operations. Your responsibilities will include planning and executing annual training seminars, and national events, and conducting insightful reporting and analysis.

Strategic Leadership:

  • Lead key initiatives aligned with ALSAC’s strategic plan, collaborating closely with territory staff.
  • Enhance execution at both national and local levels within the assigned program area.

Program Development and Execution:

  • Oversee the development and execution of area-specific plans to achieve business objectives.
  • Manage all elements of program seminars, including strategy, budget, logistics, registration, breakout sessions, and securing guest speakers.
  • Ensure key volunteer and business groups are well-represented during events.
  • Lead staff for the National St. Jude Jam Event to drive reporting of revenue items and procure Live Auction items (including silent auction items). Manage overall event logistics, fundraising efforts, and seating. Build and manage a national Jam fundraising committee.
  • Coordinate logistics for two annual DGG staff trainings, including communications, venue arrangements, transportation, meals, accommodations, materials organization, and training agendas.
  • Lead the annual audit and update of DGG resources and materials (TEAMS & Brand Central).
  • Serve as a subject matter expert (SME) for DGG events

Collaboration and KPI Achievement:

  • Collaborate with internal stakeholders to achieve defined Key Performance Indicators (KPIs).
  • Monitor progress, assess results, and pivot as needed based on key learnings.
  • Communicate insights effectively to relevant teams.
  • Maintain effective communication with event planners and manage relevant resources.

Relationship Building:

  • Cultivate relationships with industry partners and external stakeholders.
  • Innovate to raise funds and awareness for St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital.

Reporting and Communication:

  • Provide thorough analysis of month- and year-end program reports.
  • Prepare relevant presentations for divisional and organizational meetings, team retreats, and advisory board meetings.
  • Demonstrate clear communication and influence.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree or more than 6 years of relevant experience.
  • This position will include travel up to 25% of the time to attend and oversee events, as well as cultivate relationships with key stakeholders
  • Subject Matter Expertise in high-wealth event fundraising.
  • Proficiency in peer-to-peer strategies within the non-profit field.
  • Familiarity with data processing applications.
  • Experience in internal communication, budgeting, and special events fundraising.
  • Ability to convey complex information clearly in both written and verbal formats.
