Job Description
As the Director of Programs P2P, SJWR, DIY will oversee the coordination and administration of all aspects of our ongoing programs. As a strategic leader, you will play a critical role in ensuring the successful delivery of our programs and maintaining the highest standards of program management.
Responsibilities
Strategic Planning: Develop and implement program strategies aimed at meeting the organization’s objectives. You’ll lead the development and execution of annual strategic and operational plans for all assigned programs, including establishing fundraising methods and goals.
Team Management: Manage a team of project managers and coordinators. Mentor and coach high-performing individuals, fostering a collaborative and results-driven environment.
Compliance and Efficiency: Ensure that program activities comply with organizational policies and regulations. Enforce procedures to improve overall operational effectiveness. Operate within established budgetary parameters.
Stakeholder Relations: Maintain positive relationships with third-party organizations, volunteers, and program partners. Represent our organization in a manner that reflects positively on our mission.
Program Evaluation: Analyze performance data to evaluate program effectiveness. Identify strengths and weaknesses, making informed decisions to enhance performance against budget.
Training and Communication: Oversee the creation and delivery of program-specific training curriculum. Collaborate with local staff and leadership to ensure consistent program deliverables across geographic boundaries.
Qualifications
Experience: Requires knowledge of fundraising, including experience with peer-to-peer strategies within the non-profit field. Familiarity with data processing applications and internal communication, budgeting, and special events fundraising is essential.
Leadership Skills: Excellent leadership skills with the ability to influence and drive initiatives at all levels of the organization.
Complex Problem-Solving: Use critical thinking to analyze reports and resolve program-related challenges.
Communication: Clear and effective communication skills, both written and verbal.
Education: A bachelor’s degree or more than 6 years of relevant experience.
Travel: Involves travel 20%-25%; including nights and weekends and periodic travel to Memphis, TN for enterprise events.
