Job Description

Responsible for ensuring maintaining accuracy, completeness and integrity of ALSAC’s donor data. Adheres to established data integrity standards. Reconciles production and vendor files. Responsible for maintaining overall controls to ensure that all upload files are posted to the donor accounts in an accurate and timely manner. Prioritize the work and ensure that timelines are met.

ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS

1. Uses active listening and interpersonal skills when communicating with donors, volunteers and employees about tributes. Conveys information and ideas in a clear and concise manner. Uses independent judgment to ask probing questions to gather information not readily offered. Collects information needed to accurate complete transaction or account update task. May work on multiple programs and fundraising initiatives simultaneously. (Service)

2. Uses computer skills to enter, update and maintain accurate donor account information. May use multiple software programs and systems to manage donations and account profile information received through various channels and systems. Possesses the ability to proficiently navigate within the organizations' proprietary CRM system and other providing systems required to keep transactional data current and accurate. Thoroughly documents and updates donor volunteer information using interactions, notes and transactions. Maintains PCI compliance and all ALSAC policies and procedures. 3. Delivers a superior donor experience on each donor interaction, which includes handling transactions. Each interaction with potential or existing donors and volunteers reflects the core values of the organization and maintains and supports the awareness of the St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital brand. Develops and builds donor loyalty and ensures that each interaction with a donor or volunteer is consistent with their relationship and loyalty with St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital. Requires the ability to have strong knowledge of multiple programs, systems and processes. (Donor Experience)

4. Uses a high degree of concentration and knowledge of donor accounts and associated functions to reconcile uploads files and balance what was received against what is posted to the donor database. Report status of batch processing to management on a daily basis. Reports any delays to management. Develops new reports as needed.

5. Works independently to research and resolve donor issues in a timely manner. Communicates with other departments, the bank, and outside vendors as needed to ensure all inquiries are being handled. Utilizes SQL queries as needed to resolve donor data issues. Initiates action to resolve issues when needed.

6. Establishes priorities and deadlines to ensure pledges and donations are posted in a timely manner. Works independently to ensure upload files are completed daily. Maintains the stated department processing time goal.

7. Assists with testing of new processes and new applications and/or system enhancements. Modifies procedures and documentation as needed through organizational needs or technology changes.

Requirements

  • Requires ability to understand general arithmetic
  • Speak and write in a clear and understandable manner; understand difficult verbal or written instructions; understand frequent, complex written and verbal instructions regarding changed or new procedures, understand data processing applications
  • Requires attention to details; ability to plan, organize and carry out assigned duties
  • Understand desktop applications such as Microsoft Office, Business Objects, etc.
  • Demonstrate proficiency n Word and Excel; Outstanding customer service experience is required
  • Knowledge ordinarily acquired through attainment of high school diploma or GED and 4 years of experience in computer operations, data integrity and/or quality control experience in a data processing environment
