Job Description

Engineer III - Data (Info Architecture) (Memphis, TN)

ALSAC/St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital – the fund-raising organization of St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital – is currently looking for an Engineer III - Data (Info Architecture) as follows.

Responsible for developing and maintaining data processing software, data modeling, pipelines, transformations, related databases, and supporting infrastructure. Duties include coordinating with ALSAC leadership and other professionals to create data infrastructure, running tests on designs to isolate errors, and updating systems to accommodate changes in technical and business needs. Creating and maintaining, in conjunction with Enterprise, Solution, and Technical Architecture and Infrastructure teams, optimized data pipeline architecture. Assembling data sets of various sizes and complexity through conceptual and logical data modeling to meet non-functional and functional business requirements. Implementing required infrastructure for optimal extraction, transformation and loading of data from various data sources using AWS and

SQL technologies. Implementing analytical tools to utilize available data sources, the data pipeline, to provide actionable insight into key business performance metrics, including operational efficiency and donor acquisition. Working with stakeholders including data, design, product and executive teams, and assisting them with data-related technical issues. Position based in Memphis, TN and requires in office presence.

Position requires a Bachelor’s degree in Information Systems, Computer Science, or a related field followed by three years of experience in digital analytics, computer science or related field. Experience must include three (3) years of experience with each of the following:

  • Developing and maintaining data processing software to include SQL Server, SSIS, SSAS, and SSRS Reports

  • Developing and maintaining data modeling to include Power BI

  • Developing and maintaining data design

  • Developing and maintaining data deployment
