Job Description

As a Corporate Travel Manager at ALSAC, you’ll play a pivotal role in shaping our travel program strategy. You’ll be responsible for developing and implementing policies, optimizing cost savings, and ensuring seamless travel experiences for our staff and guests. Key Responsibilities:

Travel Program Strategy:

  • Develop and execute a comprehensive corporate travel program strategy aligned with ALSAC’s goals.

  • Continuously evaluate and enhance travel policies to drive efficiency and cost-effectiveness.

Policy Development:

  • Create clear and concise policies and procedures for ALSAC’s Corporate Travel Management Program.

  • Communicate these policies effectively to all stakeholders.

Internal Support:

  • Serve as the primary point of contact for ALSAC staff regarding travel arrangements (flights, accommodations, etc.).

  • Provide guidance and troubleshoot any travel-related issues.

Vendor Management:

  • Cultivate strong relationships with travel agencies and vendors.

  • Conduct Quarterly Business Review meetings to assess performance and identify areas for improvement.

  • Ensure adherence to Service Level Agreements.

Cost Analysis and Waste Reduction:

  • Analyze travel costs, identify savings opportunities, and manage unused tickets.

  • Implement waste reduction strategies to optimize program efficiency.

Technology Maintenance:

  • Oversee the travel management online platform, ensuring accurate profiles and resolving data feed errors promptly.

  • Handle trouble ticket submissions and follow-ups.

  • Facilitate airline ticket refunds when necessary.

Preferred Airlines Relationship:

  • Manage contractual relationships with preferred airlines.

  • Utilize online airline business platforms to track performance against contract goals.

  • Distribute additional benefits to travelers as per agreements.

Employee Training:

  • Develop training materials to educate employees on new policies and system enhancements.

  • Foster a culture of travel compliance and best practices.

Contract Negotiations:

  • Negotiate competitive contracts and corporate rates with travel service providers (airlines, hotels, car services, etc.).

Qualifications:

  • A bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Hospitality, or a related field, is preferred.

  • Minimum of 5 years of experience in corporate travel management.

  • Strong negotiation skills and familiarity with travel industry trends.

  • Proficiency in travel management systems and tools.

  • Excellent communication and problem-solving abilities.
