Job Description

Are you passionate about creating engaging and relevant marketing journeys that drive growth and retention? Do you have a strong background in audience planning, integrated marketing, and event marketing and fundraising? If so, you might be the perfect fit for our Sr. Advisor - Audience Planning role at ALSAC.

ALSAC is the fundraising and awareness organization for St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital. Our mission is to raise the funds and awareness necessary to operate and maintain the hospital. We are looking for a Sr. Advisor - Audience Planning to join our newly formed Partners and Fundraisers, Audience Planning team in Strategic Marketing.

As a Sr. Advisor - Audience Planning, you will be the expert audience lead for a specified priority audience, such as Fitness and Endurance fundraisers. You will:

  • Identify priority audience objectives that align with ALSAC’s strategic plan and key performance indicators

  • Oversee and manage the planning, development and evaluation of integrated multichannel audience plans and marketing strategies to drive key audience segment objectives

  • Lead cross functional teams of subject matter experts to collaboratively design effective audience journeys and touchpoints that evolve into robust go-to-market strategies

  • Ensure alignment with overall ALSAC Strategic Plan and collaborate with peers and others across ALSAC to drive integration and adoption

  • Work closely with Experiential Leaders and Senior Staff on developing and implementing the strategic direction and tactics for recruiting and cultivating your priority audience

  • Communicate well verbally and in writing with internal and external stakeholders of different levels, including presenting to senior executives and simplifying complex information clearly

To be successful in this role, you will need:

  • A Bachelor’s Degree and 6 years of practical experience in audience planning, integrated marketing, event marketing and fundraising, or related fields

  • 1 year of experience managing people and/or leading cross-functional teams

  • Highly creative and analytical thinking skills

  • Innovative and continuous improvement mindset

  • A demonstrated strong working knowledge of audience planning and integrated marketing

  • A basic understanding of research, marketing/channel mix methodologies, paid media, brand management and industry best practices

  • Adept at problem solving and developing solutions to specific business challenges or needs

  • A general understanding of strategic planning and analytics

  • Demonstrated ability to drive change while being comfortable with ambiguity

  • Proven success recruiting, inspiring, developing, coaching and motivating team members through balanced leadership with a focus on team member engagement and performance management

  • Proven and demonstrated leadership skills including relationship building, collaborating with clear ability to influence, gain buy-in, and negotiate with a diverse group of business partners/stakeholders including senior management

  • Demonstrated ability to manage effectively in a heavily matrixed organization with a high degree of initiative and strong ability to meet key responsibilities with limited oversight

  • Self-motivated with the ability to participate effectively in a team environment and work well with others
