ALSAC’s Program offers an immersive experience where interns experience our culture, contribute to organization’s goals through projects, and build relationships with team members and senior leadership. During the summer internship, interns are assigned to a day-to-day manager where they are with provided meaningful assignments. After 12 weeks, interns will truly understand what it's like to be a part of the ALSAC/St.Jude. ALSAC/St.Jude was selected as the 100 best internship programs in the U.S. in 2022 by WayUp and Yello.

Innovation Intern Project
ALSAC Summer Intern Innovation Project: Throughout the internship, interns will have a chance to connect with innovators from across ALSAC and learn the art of Design Thinking. Interns will work in teams, be creative, and participate sessions to help prepare them to present their projects to ALSAC’s CEO and members of our Executive Leadership Team.
Start Date: May 20, 2024
End Date: August 9, 2024
Hours: 40 hours a week (Monday-Friday)
Pay Rate: Based on work location
Work Location: Headquarters Office in Memphis, TN
A passion for our mission!
Must be currently enrolled in an undergraduate or graduate degree program.
Must be comfortable with Zoom and Microsoft Office products including Word, Excel, and Power Point.
Actively participate in the Summer Intern Innovation Project through cross-functional collaboration with internal stakeholders and your assigned project.
Ability to work in a team environment but also work strong independently.
Ability to be organized and detailed to balance several projects simultaneously.
Must be able to maintain confidentiality.
Must be 18 years of age or older.
Specific Internship Description and Preferred Skills:
Assist Internal Audit employees with the performance of assigned sections of various audits.
Obtain and review audit-related documentation to perform fieldwork testing and on-the-job training.
Analyze and document different processes and procedures for reasonableness via walkthroughs, re-performance, discussions and testing.
Hold discussions with audit clients to conduct follow up audits and monitor action plan status for audit findings.
Learn and apply Institute of Internal Auditor standards, Internal Audit skills, best practices and knowledge of the Internal Audit profession.
Other duties as assigned.
Accounting, Finance, Data Analytics, BSBA in Accounting, or MBA
Prior Internal Audit skills or internship, Knowledge of Internal Controls, Leadership, Strong Communication and Interpersonal skills.
Must be actively enrolled in an accredited college or university, as a junior, senior or graduate student (in good standing) and working toward a degree in Accounting, Finance, Data Analytics, Business Administration with Accounting Concentration or Track, or MBA and a GPA of at least 3.5 on a 4.0 scale.
