Job Description

Interns join a mission where they learn more about how we’ve become one of the most trusted nonprofits brands in the industry.

ALSAC’s Program offers an immersive experience where interns experience our culture, contribute to organization’s goals through projects, and build relationships with team members and senior leadership. During the summer internship, interns are assigned to a day-to-day manager where they are with provided meaningful assignments. After 12 weeks, interns will truly understand what it's like to be a part of the ALSAC/St.Jude. ALSAC/St.Jude was selected as the 100 best internship programs in the U.S. in 2022 by WayUp and Yello.

Innovation Intern Project

ALSAC Summer Intern Innovation Project: Throughout the internship, interns will have a chance to connect with innovators from across ALSAC and learn the art of Design Thinking. Interns will work in teams, be creative, and participate sessions to help prepare them to present their projects to ALSAC’s CEO and members of our Executive Leadership Team.

Start Date: May 20, 2024
End Date: August 9, 2024
Hours: 40 hours a week (Monday-Friday)
Pay Rate: Based on work location
Work Location: Headquarters Office in Memphis, TN

Requirements:

A passion for our mission!
Must be currently enrolled in an undergraduate or graduate degree program.
Must be comfortable with Zoom and Microsoft Office products including Word, Excel, and Power Point.
Actively participate in the Summer Intern Innovation Project through cross-functional collaboration with internal stakeholders and your assigned project.
Ability to work in a team environment but also work strong independently.
Ability to be organized and detailed to balance several projects simultaneously.
Must be able to maintain confidentiality.
Must be 18 years of age or older.

Specific Internship Description and Preferred Skills:

The intern will assist in the mastering and finalizing of video content produced by the Creative + Content Team as part of marketing efforts at ALSAC. It will involve working with partners on high-level campaigns and initiatives that need video. Currently, the Creative + Content Team produces hundreds of videos for these and other partners every month. This position will be editing video for various channels including television, online, and social media. It will also entail creating graphics, encoding and uploading video, and tagging our work in a video content management system.

Responsibilities include:

Editing, logging, and mastering video content
Managing and distributing videos via our content management system
Creating graphics or animations for use in various channels, including social media

Majors preferred: Communications, Film, Video

Skills preferred: Video Editing, Avid video editing, Adobe products, Microsoft Office, Social Media content creation
