Job Description
As a Sr Advisor – Programs, Music & Audio Experiential Partnerships you will be responsible for the overall strategy and operations related to the assigned program format, including planning and execution of annual training seminars, national events, reporting and analysis. Stays current on industry trends within specific programmatic function and leads the implementation of innovative revenue generating initiatives, content development and presentations/proposals relative to the format and the program. Communicates frequently with Territory staff and other external partners to deliver on programmatic outcomes.
ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS:
1. Leads key initiatives in support of ALSAC’s strategic plan by supporting the overall performance and enhancing execution at a national and local level for assigned program area while working in conjunction with territory staff.
2. Oversees the development and execution of assigned area plans to ensure plans support the achievement of business objectives and strengthen the fundraising efforts of St. Jude in an impactful way. Responsible for managing, planning, and executing all elements of program seminars, including strategy, budget, logistics, registration, breakout sessions and speaker topics/content and securing guest speakers. Responsible for project management and oversight of all groups’ involvement to ensure key volunteer and business groups are adequately represented through the event.
3. Collaborate with internal stakeholders to achieve defined KPIs. Monitor progress, assess results and measure success against KPIs pivoting where necessary and/or recognizing key learnings. Communicate insights to the appropriate teams and/or individuals.
4. Develops and cultivates relationships with industry partners and external stakeholders in order to actively and consistently strive to create new, innovative opportunities to move assigned programs to a higher level to raise funds and awareness for St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital.
5. Provides thorough analysis of month-and year-end program reports and presents key program metrics, prepares presentations relevant to program needs for divisional and organizational meetings, team retreats, advisory board meetings and, as needed at industry related conferences.
6. Works with program leadership to establish risk mitigation tactics, policies, and standard operating procedures for assigned program area. Works directly with legal to prepare legal protocols and safeguards are strictly followed to maintain good standing with each respective geographic location that campaigns are conducted.
7. Accountable for creating and achieving budgeted projections. On an annual basis will conduct several campaigns per fiscal year while being held responsible for maintaining the budgeted cost ratio for each campaign. Responsible for monitoring cost containment initiatives for assigned campaigns.
8. Identifies and recruits' new partners. Creates recruitment proposals. Provides feedback and approval of assigned program sales and sponsorship materials. Assist with the development and implementation of digital strategies for national events and other special events and revenue generating opportunities.
9. Evaluates and secures opportunities for activation in festivals to reach new supporters and acquire donors. Responsible for account management of each festival and bringing assets to life, driving PIH initiative, while working to ensure the P&L is accurate. Represents St. Jude and develops and cultivates relationships with artists, labels, artists’ management, and festival management across music genres.
10. Represents ALSAC-St. Jude's Children's Research Hospital in all areas in such a manner as to reflect positively on the hospital and our fundraising organization. Serves as staff liaison to the advisory board for the assigned program area. Responsible for council nominations, setting up meetings, setting the meeting agenda, disseminating minutes, and communicating with members on a regular basis. Tracks and follows up on all action items.
Requirements and Experience
- Requires knowledge of fundraising, including experience with peer-to-peer strategies within non-profit field.
- Thorough understanding of media plans and planning.
- Understand data processing applications. Experience with internal communication, budgeting, and special events fundraising.
- Proven history of successful management and building of P&Ls and other financial related tools.
- Knowledge of active lifestyle industry related business a plus.
- Speak and write in a clear and understandable manner for internal/external relations.
- Understand complex verbal or written instructions.
- Demonstrates clear communication and the ability to influence others.
- A bachelor’s degree or more than 6 years of experience.
