Job Description

Are you ready to take the helm of innovation and drive the creation of captivating web applications that connect and inspire millions? Join us as a Web Software Engineer IV on our dynamic Donation Experiences (DEX) team. As a pivotal member, you will immerse yourself in the realm of distributed, multitier software applications within our enterprise platform. Your mastery of web development, coupled with a thirst for cutting edge technologies, will elevate our donor engagement to new heights.

Your Role and Impact:

  • Lead the charge in designing, developing, integrating, and deploying ALSAC's premier web applications across our expansive enterprise platform.

  • Provide technical leadership as a Lead Engineer to collaborate with junior Web Software Engineers, QA experts, Media specialists, and Product visionaries, ushering your creations from concept to reality.

  • Embrace Agile methodologies to transform user stories into impeccably structured product features. Your designs will harmonize inputs/outputs, processing logic, interfaces, performance, security, and acceptance criteria.

  • Drive collaboration with IT, Product, and QA teams during coding, testing, and deployment phases, fostering seamless development, integration, and delivery cycles.

  • Orchestrating the integration of UI/UX technologies and mobile interfaces will be your forte, orchestrating the creation of user centric experiences that leave a lasting impact.

  • Pave the way for ongoing improvement by championing the evolution of our DevOps practices and actively participating in their implementation.

  • Shape the future by envisioning groundbreaking products and exploring nascent technologies, positioning us at the forefront of innovation.

  • Excel in a dynamic, high growth environment, adapting swiftly to shifting priorities and delivering excellence amidst the speed.

What You Bring:

  • Profound experience with third party databases, libraries, interfaces, and Internet protocols. Your adeptness at Internet software engineering principles is your hallmark.

  • Expertise in web infrastructure encompassing web servers, application servers, and containerization the foundation of modern web applications.

  • Robust understanding of the following technologies, tools, and frameworks:

  • Your knack for troubleshooting and technical issue resolution is legendary. You're well versed in Internet hardware, software, and firewall setup.

  • Command of multithreaded programming, transaction isolation strategies, and deadlock avoidance, along with an affinity for caching strategies and J2EE framework nuances.

  • Familiarity with Content Management/Content Delivery, Social Media Integrations, and Digital Wallet/Online Payment Technologies enhances your prowess.

  • A bridge between marketing and IT, your digital marketing insights complement your technical acumen.

  • A natural collaborator, you're equally comfortable engaging with team members and business stakeholders, underpinned by your superb project management skills.

  • Your communication finesse shines through excellent written and verbal skills, bringing clarity to complex concepts.


  • Bachelor’s degree in information systems, engineering, or mathematics, coupled with a substantial track record of at least 10 years in technical, analytical, systems, and programming roles. A Master's degree and 2 years of lead experience are preferred

  • Expertise in Core Technologies and Tools:

  • Languages: Java, JavaScript, JSP, UML, WSDL, HTML, CSS, jQuery, PL/SQL, Shell Scripting.

  • Java Technologies: J2EE, JDBC, Hibernate, JSF, XML Parsers, Servlets, EJB, JMS, Kafka, Struts, Spring Framework, JavaBeans, Web Services.

  • Web Technologies: JavaScript, HTML, XML, XSL, XSLT, SOAP, React, Node.js, JSON, Restful APIs, Junit.

  • Databases: Oracle, SQL Server. Tools: SQL Developer, SOAP UI, GitHub, LogRhythm, Splunk.

  • Frameworks: Spring, Spring MVC, Spring Boot, Spring Batch, Spring JDBC, Spring Security, Hibernate

  • Build Tools: Maven, Jenkins Web/App Servers: Apache Tomcat, OpenShift
