Job Description

Are you ready to take on a pivotal role as the ultimate product owner for our enterprise-wide mission critical systems? We are looking for a System Analyst II who thrives on providing strategic and technical leadership on projects, collaborating with cross functional teams, and ensuring our core strategic goals are met. If you're a seasoned professional with a passion for technology and a knack for problem solving, we want you on our team!

Key Responsibilities:

Strategic Leadership: Act as the driving force behind our mission critical systems, providing direction to cross functional teams, including those outside your product line.

Effective Communication: Be the bridge between technical intricacies and clear communication with Business Analysts, Project Managers, and Management. Share both the potential and limitations of our products promptly.

Technical Documentation: Create high quality technical design documentation and specifications, ensuring comprehensive tracking of system changes and product content development for training purposes.

Quality Assurance: Ensure thorough testing procedures are followed before implementing any production changes, working closely with Quality Assurance Analysts, and adhering to change management procedures.

Technology Expertise: Stay up to date with various programming languages, operating systems, and computer hardware platforms, embracing technological advancements.

Team Collaboration: Assist coders and developers in coordinating system development efforts, and implement new system requirements, upgrades, and fixes in alignment with the Product Owner and/or Developers.

Mentorship: Play a pivotal role in enhancing the skills of team members, fostering a culture of continuous improvement, and ensuring a high level of team growth.

Training and Support: Provide training to build skills, testing ability, and the ability to install and modify programs as needed. Be available for on call support as agreed upon.

Business Alignment: Collaborate closely with Business Analysts to understand business requests and provide recommendations to the Product Owner regarding application code and configuration changes to meet business needs.

Requirements and Experience:

Technical Proficiency: Knowledge of process modeling, data modeling, database design, and specification creation is essential. Familiarity with project planning, management, and deployment is a plus.

Technology Enthusiast: Proficiency with computers, including UNIX, NT, Oracle, SQL, PC’s, Windows, and PC based management systems. Exposure to current application development techniques, such as object oriented and client/server, is advantageous. Knowledge of SQL is also a plus.

Qualifications: A bachelor’s degree along with 3 to 5 years of technical, analytical, systems, and programming experience is required.
