Job Description
As a HRIS Workday Sr Analyst you will ensure the integrity of HR information systems by maintaining systems configuration, documenting procedures, conducting system audits and troubleshooting issues. Responsible for creating and modifying custom reports and assisting HR staff with reports. Serves as a contact for the organization for HR system questions and issues.
ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS
1. Uses a high degree of concentration to maintain HR information systems configuration according to established guidelines. Establishes and converts data related to organizational restructures, salary survey changes, code tables, benefit/attendance plans, position codes, etc. Performs essential job functions in a variety of environments under normal lighting and climate control tolerances.
2. Analyzes processes and HR data to identify problems and proposed solutions and ensure data integrity; provides project oversight to ensure timely completion and effective resolution of identified issues. Involves troubleshooting, testing, and coordinating with ITS staff. Requires thorough knowledge and use of SQL and Microsoft SQL server tools. Creates and maintains process and procedures documentation and functional specifications related to production requirements. Serves as functional expert for all HR systems. Trains HR team members (new and existing) on processes and functionality of the systems and assists team with system-related questions and needs.
3. Uses report-writing skills to create or modify custom reports using HR data and assists other HR staff with the use of reports. Requires knowledge and use of SQL and report-writing applications. Requires use of a personal computer.
4. Monitors systems and processes, including interfaces with other systems, to ensure functionality.
5. Conducts and coordinates audits on HR information systems. Ensures that corrections are made and recommends process and policy changes.
6. Documents system-related processes and procedures, documentation and functional specifications related to production requirements and business continuity/disaster recovery. Updates procedures as needed, ensuring that they are always accurate and up-to-date. Recommends procedural changes as needed.
7. Assists with system upgrades, updates and fixes. Involves reviewing release notes and conducting extensive system testing.
8. Serves as a contact for the organization on HR system inquires and requests for assistance.
9. Maintains the security and confidentiality of HR information by authorizing the creation and assignment of appropriate, job based security roles, and properly controlling the release of HR data. Serves as the point of contact for, and must approve, new requests for HR data. Escalates requests to Sr. Director or Sr. VP of Human Resources when appropriate.
10. Partners with and serves as the HR Liaison to ITS; to ensure HR systems compliance with enterprise policies related to information security; for the implementation and management of interfaces with other systems; to coordinate HR use of ITS resources, ensuring that ITS procedures and methods are followed when possible. Requires awareness of current and emerging HRIS trends.
JOB REQUIREMENTS
- Requires ability to maintain absolute confidentiality
- Speak and write in a clear and understandable manner for internal/external relations
- Understand difficult verbal or written instructions; adapt to frequently changing priorities.
- Requires attention to detail and accuracy; statistical, problem solving and analytical skills
- Understanding of Human Resources functions, including Payroll; advanced proficiency in Microsoft Office applications, including Excel, Access and Visio
- Report writing experience using Crystal Reports or equivalent; knowledge of SQL and use of Microsoft SQL Server tools
- Experience with a HRIS.
- Experience with Kronos systems is preferred
- Applicant management system and learning management system experience is a plus.
- Knowledge ordinarily acquired through attainment of a Bachelor's degree in Human Resources, Information Technology or related field and 5 years of HR or IT experience working with a HRIS.
- Must possess a valid driver's license.
