Job Summary:
The Head of Retirement Product leads the strategy, development, and growth of Raymond James Investment Management’s retirement-focused investment solutions. With deep expertise in Collective Investment Trusts (CITs), retirement funds, and institutional platforms, this role is responsible for driving product innovation, expanding market presence, and delivering solutions that meet the evolving needs of plan sponsors, consultants, and retirement platforms. The role blends product leadership with commercial acumen, ensuring RJIM’s retirement offerings are competitive, scalable, and positioned for long-term success.
Responsibilities:
- Define and execute the strategic roadmap for RJIM’s retirement product lineup, including CITs, retirement share classes, and other retirement-focused vehicles.
- Lead product development initiatives that expand RJIM’s presence in the retirement market, identifying growth opportunities across platforms, client segments, and investment structures.
- Own the success of RJIM’s retirement product business, with accountability for AUM growth, revenue generation, and market share expansion.
- Build and maintain relationships with key retirement platforms, recordkeepers, and consultants to enhance product visibility and access.
- Develop and execute strategies to grow RJIM’s DCIO business, including platform onboarding, share class design, and advisor engagement.
- Monitor industry trends, regulatory developments (e.g., ERISA, DOL), and competitive offerings to inform product strategy and identify whitespace.
- Oversee product lifecycle management, including pricing strategy, share class design, platform onboarding, and operational readiness.
- Partner with marketing to develop compelling product narratives, thought leadership, and advisor-facing materials.
- Represent RJIM in client meetings, consultant discussions, and industry forums as a retirement product leader.
- Ensure all retirement products meet compliance, operational, and fiduciary standards across platforms and client types.
- Contribute to strategic planning, revenue forecasting, and performance analysis to support business growth and product profitability.
- Analyze market trends, client demand, and competitive dynamics to inform product innovation and expansion.
- Develop product strategies that expand RJIM’s footprint in the defined contribution market, including CITs and custom retirement solutions.
Education and Experience
- Bachelor’s degree (B.A.) in Finance, Business Administration, or related field and a minimum fifteen (15) years of experience in retirement product management
- OR
- Any equivalent combination of experience, education, and/or training approved by Human Resources.
