Job Description Summary
As a Project Manager (PM) at Raymond James, you will manage multiple technology projects which will have a significant impact on processes and technology used firm wide. The PM will partner with IT leadership, vendor resources, internal IT staff, and business members to identify, prioritize, and manage opportunities to achieve defined goals. Role includes the development and use of project strategies, business cases, and project plans. The PM is expected to consistently meet or exceed documented PMO expectations as described in the PMO SDLC Expectations document such as fully understanding assignments, applying PM knowledge areas, demonstrating PM competencies and exhibiting PM traits.Job Description
Please Note: This position will follow our hybrid work model, we currently expect the selected candidate to be in St. Petersburg, FL office at least 50% of business days per month for full 8-hour workdays.
Responsibilities:
- Ensure project objectives and deliverables meet customer requirements and ae delivered into production environment on time, on budget and to customer specifications.
- PM will work under the direction of a PMO Director and must be able to operate within a high-risk, complex IT environment. This role requires the ability to understand IT systems and be able to navigate in this environment.
- Responsible for the development and implementation of project strategies, business case, and high-level project plans/scheduled.
- Responsible for all aspects of the development and implementation of assigned projects and provides a single point of contact for those projects. Takes projects from original concept through final implementation.
- Partners with vendors and internal and external business unit subject matter experts to plan and implement strategies to ensure the successful and timely completion of projects throughout all phases. Responsibilities also includes facilitating and maintaining contact with internal partners and vendors to identify, research and resolve related project issues.
- Communicates with all Technology leadership, business leadership, and consultants on project status, strategy, direction and change.
- Responsible for facilitating meetings, tracking key project milestone, risks, issues, action items, and related project reports in compliance with established technology standards (and in relation to business needs).
- Assists in the overall management of projects, including applying established project methodologies (SDLC, Agile), manages activities to define detailed work plans, project schedules, milestone estimates, and assists with monthly/quarterly reporting.
- Makes judgments and recommendations based on analysis and knowledge.
- Facilitates requirement gathering process, prioritization of the backlog and sprint planning.
- Display meticulous attention to detail in all aspects of project management. Thoroughly review project documents, identify potential issues, and work proactively to address them to ensure project success.
- Track project milestones, tasks, and timelines to ensure adherence to schedules. Regularly follow up with teams to monitor progress and promptly address any bottlenecks or delays.
- Creates, manages and reports on project budgets and financial results relative to budgets.
- Creates, maintains resource allocations; actively tracks their time, cost and productivity.
- Performs other duties and responsibilities as assigned.
Skills/Previous Experience:
- Minimum of five (5) years of Project Management experience is required.
- Experience using Service Now/PPM, Smartsheets, Azure DevOps (TFS), JIRA, or equivalent project management systems.
- Creating and archiving documentation in a repository, such as SharePoint or Confluence.
- Financial services and/or banking experience is highly preferred.
- Knowledge of project management methodologies and tools (Agile and/or Waterfall Methodology, Smartsheet, DevOps-TFS, etc.), including application development and project life cycle methodologies: Software Development Life Cycle (SDLC).
- Solid understanding of risk management, issue tracking, change management and requirements gathering, including RAID log management.
- Business planning and analysis experience. Project budget interfaces with other accounting systems.
- Presentation skills, status reporting/dashboards, and updating of senior team members on overall project health.
- Project management, project implementation, planning, budgeting, and data management.
- · Writing, analyzing and interpreting complex technical configuration documents.
- Strong communication, technical teamwork, and interpersonal skills.
- Proficiency in executing project management methodologies and tools such as Agile, Waterfall and Hybrid.

- Partner with other functional areas to collaborate to accomplish project objectives successfully.
Licenses/Certifications:

- PMP or equivalent certification preferred.
