We are looking for a highly organized, client-centric Strategic Transitions Manager to deliver a premium onboarding experience for Financial Advisors (and their teams) undergoing strategic transitions with substantial assets. This role is responsible for leading the design and execution of the transition supporting the seamless integration of complex, high-performing financial advisors and large practices into Raymond James & Associates (RJA) and Raymond James Financial Services (RJFS).
Operating with minimal oversight, the Strategic Transitions Manager applies deep industry expertise to independently manage high-impact initiatives that require strategic insight, innovation, and sound judgment. The role involves close collaboration with home office teams to proactively identify, investigate, and resolve transition-related challenges, including Mass Account Transfers (MAT).
This individual ensures a smooth and personalized transition experience by overseeing process, coordinating documentation, delivering customized training, and providing hands-on support throughout the onboarding journey. The ideal candidate thrives in a dynamic environment, excels in building trust through proactive communication, and consistently delivers high-touch service to our most valued partners.
Responsibilities:
- Deliver a white-glove onboarding experience by managing account openings, coordinating transfers, and ensuring all documentation is complete and accurate.
- Serve as the Transition Consultant for strategic transitions with production levels of $3M+, offering additional hand-holding and personalized support throughout the process.
- Provide comprehensive training on firm policies and procedures across compliance, marketing, technology, investment products, and business operations.
- Offer ongoing, high-touch support to transitioning branches, addressing inquiries and ensuring a smooth integration into Raymond James.
- Collaborate on the development of educational tools and training strategies to enhance onboarding effectiveness.
- Lead and co-lead departmental initiatives and cross-functional projects to drive strategic goals.
- Design and deliver impactful presentations tailored to various internal and external audiences.
- Conduct consultative orientations via on-site visits, Zoom, or phone to guide new advisors and offices through firm policies and procedures.
- Act as a liaison between transitioning advisors and internal departments, escalating issues for timely resolution.
- Host home office visits for new advisors joining RJA and RJFS, offering personalized guidance and support.
- Mentor junior Consultants and Specialists to support skill development and team growth.
- Evaluate and recommend improvements to existing policies and procedures for greater efficiency.
- Roles at this level are typically experienced professionals and/or operational line managers who are interpreting and applying policy to achieve specified outputs or advising the wider business on application of policy.
- Monitor and review performance and behaviors within area of responsibility to identify and resolve noncompliance with the organization's policies and relevant regulatory codes and codes of conduct.

- Required experience in Advisor Transitions and/or as a Financial Advisor.
Educational/Previous Experience Requirements:
- High School Diploma/GED - Required
- Bachelor’s Degree in Business, Finance, or related field highly preferred.

Licenses/Certifications:
- SIE required (prior to start) provided that an exemption or grandfathering cannot be applied.
- Series 7 License required (prior to start).
- Series 63 (or 66) License required, or ability to obtain within 120 days.
- Series 9/10 (or 24) License required, or ability to obtain within 120 days.
