Job Description Summary

Supports the growth of RJ Trust by partnering closely with an external trust consultant to promote trust and donor advised fund services among Raymond James financial advisors. Leverages marketing and client engagement skills to drive advisor awareness, coordinate sales campaigns, and maintain a steady cadence of meetings across the assigned territory. Acts as a key point of contact for advisors, especially when the trust consultant is traveling, and ensures timely follow-up and account onboarding support. This role plays a vital part in expanding trust business through strategic scheduling, relationship management, and operational coordination.

Job Description

Essential Duties and Responsibilities

  • Coordinates with the assigned external Trust Consultant to develop a business plan that will achieve the assigned sales goals and other sales-related metrics for their region.
  • Assists in supporting targeted marketing campaigns through proactive sales calls (telephone/video) to Financial Advisors in order to raise awareness of Raymond James Trust and to drive new business opportunities in personal trust, agency, ready-to-serve, and donor advised fund services.
  • Manages the sale process of all new opportunities from within their assigned region as well as the preparation and assembly of all required documentation necessary to present the account to the Pre-Acceptance Committee.
  • Responds to requests from Financial Advisors who need assistance in selling trust-related services and to act as their centralized resource for information related to Raymond James Trust.
  • Appointment scheduling and follow-up communications
  • Reviews trusts, wills and other documents to make an initial assessment of the fiduciary requirements and whether Raymond James Trust would be eligible to serve in a fiduciary capacity.
  • Establishes objectives and develops processes and procedures to ensure efficient and timely work flow.
  • Performs other duties and responsibilities as assigned.

Knowledge of

  • Familiarity with the following topics is advantageous and will support success in the role, though not required at the time of hire. Candidates will have opportunities to develop expertise in these areas through training and on-the-job experience:
  • IRS Gift and Estate Tax Code laws, Uniform Principal and Income Act (UPAIA), and general Trust Laws, rules and regulations.
  • Advanced concepts, practices and procedures of income tax planning and preparation process.
  • Advanced concepts, principles and practices of personal trust administration process.
  • Fundamental investment concepts, practices and procedures used in the securities industry.
  • Principles of banking and finance and securities industry operations.
  • Financial markets, products, financial advisory function and investment process.
  • Broad knowledge of Finance and Accounting.

Skill in

  • Excellent interpersonal and leadership skills to provide a high level of customer service.
  • Cultivating and maintaining effective working relationships at all levels of the organization.
  • Outstanding oral and written communication skills.
  • Demonstrate uncompromising adherence to ethical principles.
  • Operating standard office equipment and ability to learn software applications including computer based trust accounting systems and other common estate planning software programs.
