Job Description Summary
The PCG International Strategy and Oversight Business Manager will maintain responsibility for advising and delivering on the strategy for Private Client Group business conducted with non-US clients. The Business Manager will serve as the person most knowledgeable about the firm’s international business activities, with a proven ability to holistically assess and guide client and advisor activity within the context of the international regulatory and political environment. The Business Manager will be responsible for making and implementing recommendations on strategic direction for the international business, designed to support its long-term health, strategic growth, and market competitiveness.The Business Manager will support proactive identification and mitigation of riskier business activities, and the build-out of processes to support responsible business management. The Business Manager will also be responsible for driving key program initiatives and remediations arising from new international regulations, internal process changes, and amendments to product and services offerings. As part of these activities, the Manager will be a central point of contact for change-related inquiries from business stakeholders such as advisors and assistants, and other PCG partners such as Supervision, Compliance, Legal, AML and Operations. The Business Manager will actively work in close collaboration with home office and PCG branch partners to ensure an understanding of the risks and complexity of the international business, and serve as a consultant and guide throughout the firm on international issues. The Manager must be able to guide and implement comprehensive solutions to complex problems or needs, acting as a primary point of conduct for advisors navigating roadblocks to the conduct of their business.
The candidate should be able to exercise superior judgment in assessing and making practical decisions on mitigating risk related to international business conduct. This role will require building and maintaining strong relationships with all levels of the business, additionally understanding Raymond James culture, offerings and services in order to develop pragmatic and effective solutions.
The individual should have a minimum of 8-10 years of international business experience with a financial services firm, preferably with experience in management, supervision or compliance of cross-border business activities. At a minimum, 3-5 years of prior work experience managing projects or programs will be strongly preferred.
Job Description
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
- Maintains strong connectivity with the PCG international business management teams, advisors, and key support personnel in order to maintain a comprehensive view of the PCG international business and stay abreast of key challenges
- Works closely and collaboratively, maintaining strong relationships with the other members of the RJF International/Cross Border Strategy team, to support the recommendation and implementation of key initiatives
- Maintains deep knowledge of international business risk, and remains abreast of international regulatory changes and market developments impacting the conduct of PCG international business activities
- Manages key decisions on the firm’s appetite for international business risk.
- Manages the execution of program initiatives, such as implementation of process changes and remediation work that will support Raymond James’ international business strategy.
- Develops a change management strategy, assesses impact of change management activities, and plans and oversees broader field and client communications related to the International program.
- Serves as a primary point of conduct for home office partners on international business issues, serving as a key advisor.
- Performs other duties and responsibilities as assigned.

- Strong interpersonal, written and verbal communications skills, with ability to manage communications with all levels of firm personnel and across functions.
- Ability to optimize work processes, multi-task, handle multiple projects with demonstrated follow-through..
- Experience with management and execution of projects, including progress tracking and follow-up, preferably change management experience.
- Experienced in coaching and mentoring team members.
- Ability to process data quantitatively and/or qualitatively.
- Preferably fluent in Spanish.
