As a key member of the Raymond James and Associates Information Technology Regulatory Reporting Team, the Axiom Business Analyst will collaborate with cross-functional stakeholders to gather and translate business requirements into Axiom-specific financial and regulatory reporting solutions. This role requires a strong understanding of Axiom ControllerView V10, regulatory frameworks (e.g., CCAR, FR Y-14, FR Y-9C), and systems development lifecycles.
We are seeking a detail-oriented and experienced Business Analyst to support regulatory reporting initiatives across multiple regulatory domains including Broker-Dealer, Bank Holding Company (BHC) and FINRA. The ideal candidate will have hands-on experience with AxiomSL and OFSAA platforms, and a strong understanding of financial regulations and reporting requirements. The analyst will serve as a primary liaison between business units and technology teams, ensuring solutions align with regulatory expectations and business goals.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
Partner with business and IT teams to gather and interpret requirements for Axiom-based reporting solutions.
Lead and support reporting for CCAR, Liquidity Risk (e.g., FR 2052a), and other Federal Reserve report
Experience configuring and managing the Haircut Module in AxiomSL, including regulatory capital and collateral calculations
Translate regulatory and financial reporting needs into functional and non-functional specifications tailored for Axiom.
Produce Business Requirements Documents (BRD) and Functional Requirements Documents (FRD) with a focus on Axiom implementation.
Collaborate with data owners to source and validate data from OFSAA and other upstream systems.
Perform data analysis and mapping between source systems and Axiom data models.
Validate test cases and support QA efforts, especially around Axiom report outputs and transformations.
Support UAT and SIT testing phases, including test case creation, execution, and defect management.
Document business processes and reporting logic within Axiom.
Conduct gap analysis and data lineage mapping to ensure completeness and accuracy
Support development teams with mock-ups and prototypes using Axiom’s UI and reporting tools.
Participate in project planning, estimation, and scheduling for Axiom-related initiatives.
Act as a lead or SME on Axiom projects, guiding junior analysts and developers.
Perform other duties as assigned, including support for audit and regulatory reviews.
Skills/Previous Experience:
Three (3) to five (5) years of experience as a Technical Business Analyst would be preferred or a combination of education, training and experience.
Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:
Knowledge of:
Axiom ControllerView and its integration with financial data sources.
Regulatory reporting frameworks such as CCAR, FR Y-14, Liquidity reports and Basel.
Familiarity with CCAR, FR Y-9C, FR 2052a, and Basel III reporting.
SDLC methodologies including Agile, Waterfall, and Hybrid.
Risk management, issue tracking, and change management processes.
Basic accounting principles and financial instruments.
Skill in:
Designing and documenting Axiom data models, templates, and report logic.
Gathering and refining business requirements for Axiom implementations.
Conducting complex data analysis and reconciliation across systems.
Working with senior stakeholders in Finance, Risk, and IT.
Intermediate SQL for data validation and analysis. other, data warehousing, and ETL processes
Experience with OFSAA is a plus or similar finance data warehouse platforms
Experience with data governance and metadata management.
Excellent communication, analytical, and documentation skills.
Experience with advance data analysis using Excel and similar tools.
Experience in source-to-target mapping.
Agile experience including working with TFS, Jira and Confluence.
Ability to:
Influence and negotiate with senior stakeholders, auditors, and regulators.
Own and drive Axiom-related initiatives from requirements through deployment.
Communicate complex technical concepts to non-technical audiences.
Identify gaps and recommend solutions within Axiom reporting workflows.
Build collaborative relationships across departments.
Prioritize client needs and deliver high-quality solutions under tight deadlines.
Occasionally work non-standard hours to meet regulatory deadlines.
