JOB SUMMARY

As Payroll Supervisor at ProLift Rigging Co., you will oversee and supervise the organizations payroll functions, ensuring that pay is processed on time, accurately, and in compliance with government regulations.

Duties/Responsibilities:

  • Oversees and processed weekly payroll for at least two operating companies
  • Manages inquiries and requests related to preparation and distribution of payroll.
  • Processes payroll transactions including salaries, benefits, garnishments, taxes, and other payroll deductions.
  • Ensures accurate and timely processing of payroll updates including terminations and changes to pay rates.
  • Maintains or oversees the maintenance of employee pay records.
  • Ensures compliance with federal, state, and local payroll, wage, and hour laws and best practices.
  • Processes certified payroll in necessary systems and maintains necessary job records for additional payroll.
  • Assists Payroll Manager with audits by providing records and documentation to auditors.
  • Generates payroll reports for management and regulatory agencies
  • Identifies and recommends updates to payroll software, systems, procedures, and process improvement.
  • Training and supervision of new staff in the department.
  • Collaborating with other SVC departments, branches, and operating companies to ensure payroll-related information is communicated effectively and accurately.
  • Performs other duties as assigned.

Required Skills/Abilities:

  • Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Strong supervisory and leadership skills.
  • Proficient with Microsoft Office Suite or related software.
  • Proficient with payroll software (ADP Preferred)

Education and Experience:

  • Four years of experience in payroll processing required with two years in a supervisory or management role preferred.
  • Payroll Certification preferred.
