Presbyterian Day School is seeking dependable, attentive, and caring individuals to serve as AfterCare Counselors for the Fall and Spring semesters. Counselors work with students in grades YK–6th, helping provide a safe, welcoming, and well-supervised environment after the school day ends. Unlike the structured academic day, AfterCare provides students with opportunities for free play, social interaction, outdoor recreation, and homework completion. Counselors are responsible for actively supervising students, ensuring their safety and well-being, assisting older students with homework, supporting younger students with restroom needs when appropriate, and facilitating an organized dismissal process by escorting students to their families at pickup. Successful counselors are engaged, observant, and fully present with students. This role requires staff members to remain attentive and actively involved in the program rather than distracted by personal devices or other non-work-related activities. Typical hours are approximately 2:00–5:30 p.m. Monday through Friday, though schedules may vary slightly based on grade-level assignments and school programming. Qualifications: Experience working with children preferred; Reliable transportation and punctual attendance; Ability to work both indoors and outdoors; Strong communication and teamwork skills; Ability to maintain a high level of attentiveness and supervision; Must successfully complete all required background checks and mandated reporter training. Presbyterian Day School is committed to providing a nurturing, Christ-centered environment where boys are known, loved, and encouraged to grow academically, socially, and spiritually.
