Presbyterian Day School is seeking a part-time Early Childhood Learning Specialist to support young learners by identifying, assessing, and addressing diverse learning needs within a nurturing private school environment. This role partners closely with classroom teachers, families, and administrators to ensure all students receive developmentally appropriate academic support.The candidate should be passionate about early childhood education, understands the developmental variability of young learners, and believes in proactive, strengths-based intervention. An advanced degree in early childhood education, special education, educational psychology, learning disabilities, or related fields preferred. At least three years teaching experience is required. In addition, certifications and/or specialized training in reading, evidence-based literacy interventions (e.g., Orton-Gillingham-based approaches), and knowledge of executive functioning and social-emotional learning frameworks is expected.- Conduct early screening and assessment of academic and developmental concerns.- Design and implement individualized learning plans and targeted interventions.- Provide small-group and one-on-one support.- Monitor student progress and adjust interventions accordingly.- Partner with classroom teachers to differentiate instruction and implement accommodations.- Contribute to documentation.- Communicate clearly and compassionately with families regarding student progress and strategies.- Maintain confidential student records in alignment with school policies.Interested applicants should submit a cover letter, resume, and application.
