Description
The Operations Tech Advisor is the global technology solutions department. Responsibilities include overseeing all aspects of global solutions development, leading the planning, development, implementation, and support for multiple global technology solutions, manpower and systems/initiatives, and operational processes. Responsible for validating solutions, procedures, and support processes prior to implementation. Allocating resources to maximize technology development efforts, and developing and delivering communications to peers and management up to the officer level. Project managing business analysis and application support activities, benchmarking and designing business analysis, quality assurance, and implementation support tasks, ensuring adherence to standards and processes, and overseeing multiple application and technical support initiatives. Provide support plans to business areas to secure support funding, provide metrics for visibility into service levels, and project manage the planning and governance of FedEx global technology initiatives. Perform other duties as assigned.
Requirements
Master’s degree in a relevant field, such as engineering, business, information systems, or computer science required plus 4 years of experience in the job offered or 4 years of experience in industry or supporting business or technologies. The employer will alternatively accept a Bachelor’s degree or equivalent* in a relevant field, such as engineering, business, information systems, or computer science required plus 6 years of experience in the job offered or 6 years of experience in industry or supporting business or technologies in lieu of a Master's degree plus 4 years of experience. The position requires experience with: Data engineering for ML with Databricks; Statistical experimentation; Cloud-native ML experience with Databricks; Azure MLFlow; Predictive Analytics using Apache Spark MLlib on Databricks; Artificial Intelligence and business use case. Strong understanding of current technology marketplace. Ability to utilize best practices in the management of technology as it relates to FedEx assets. Strong project management skills. *Employer will accept one (1) year of directly related experience in lieu of one (1) year of education. This position will be hybrid in Memphis, TN and candidates must live within a 50-mile radius. This position is hybrid, meaning that employees will be required to work at a FedEx office location up to several times per week.
