Description
Assisting in the development and implementation of operating plans, conducting studies, and preparing data for analysis by engineers.
Essential Functions
- Developing audit procedures and performing audits of the operating plan and hourly time card completion
- Assist operational managers in solving production problems to ensure on-time launch and attainment of service goals
- Projecting daily volume forecasts for all FedEx products for each supervisor’s area
- Preparing reports for management regarding external changes and potential problem areas affecting operations
- Planning, implementing, and controlling monthly manning and layout of the operation in concert with operators
- Assisting in industrial engineering projects and studies that control or reduce operating expenses, researching volume availability, job methods, and performance rates, and gathering and ensuring the accuracy of data for the quarterly operating plan
- Researching employee suggestions related to operations and determining their feasibility, maintaining the GSE inventory control system
- Performing time and method studies to improve the utilization of people and equipment
- Perform other duties as assigned
Minimum Education
Bachelors degree in Industrial Engineering or a relevant field.
Minimum Experience
One (1) year experience in industrial technology or engineering.
Knowledge, Skills, Abilities
Knowledge of computer systems.
Analytical, human relations, and communication skills.
Job Conditions
Some travel required.
Preferred Qualifications: 3rd shift is required
Pay Transparency:
Pay: Assoc - Proj Engineer: $4,107.80-$10,744.16/mo
Additional Details: This position is domiciled in Memphis, TN. This position is THIRD SHIFT.
