Summary
Employs advanced expertise of all customer-centered design principles, skills, methods, and technologies and deep expertise of business/product development to lead design project teams through full design activities and all aspects of design projects. Primarily interacts with professionals and management of internal clients. Leads collaboration with Design Researchers, Creative Designers, and interactions with external customers. Performs activities/roles such as: Frames and reframes business challenges to focus design efforts; Empathizes with customers to discover pain points and unmet needs- Synthesizes customer and other research to develop key insights; Brainstorms ideas and develops high impact concepts and business opportunities; Prototypes and tests concepts with customers; Uses effective storytelling methods to convey knowledge or pitch opportunities; Facilitates collaborative design activities and methods; Coaches less senior staff and other employees in customer-centered design principles, skills, methods, and technologies.
Job Description:
The Product Designer (All Levels) role is responsible for leading the design process to bring innovative ideas, new solutions, and strategic vision to life through outstanding design—no matter what the medium, but especially user experience and user interface design. This team is highly collaborative, creative, and scrappy. As a member of the design team, you'll explore problem and opportunity spaces in new technologies, new products/services, and new ways of working. This role is critical to bringing ideas and solutions to life with great design. Facilitates collaborative design activities and methods; Coaches senior staff and other employees in customer-centered design principles, skills, methods, and technologies.
Responsibilities:
- Provide expert-level UX strategy, guidance, and design across multiple projects at a time - including workshops, design principals, user research, user personas, user testing, wireframes, user flows, and other representations of UX design direction to guide teams through design processes.
- Provide design leadership by defining and communicating a clear and compelling design vision aligned with the company’s strategy and goals, and by establishing and enforcing design standards, frameworks, and best practices for the team.
- Provide strategic input by collaborating with data analysts and stakeholders to define and evaluate success metrics, advocating for user needs by balancing usability with business goals, and driving innovation to enhance product differentiation and satisfaction.
- Collaborate closely with cross-functional teams and stakeholders to understand business goals, objectives, and user needs, and translate them into compelling product experiences that drive successful outcomes.
- Guide design discussions toward decisions, clarify user experience strategy, and get buy-in.
- Works collaboratively with stakeholders to sketch potential use cases or user flows.
- Creates highly detailed design artifacts (flows, journey maps, service blueprints, wires, mocks, prototypes, specs, related documentation) to clearly communicate a compelling desired future state for the product.
- Organizes content and navigation effectively on an application level (e.g., sitemap) and screen level (e.g., wireframe). Plans and executes card sorting activities with appropriate stakeholders.
- Collaborate with designers, developers, engineering leads, and product owners to finalize designs, write requirements, and ensure they are technically feasible and scalable within engineering constraints.
- Must provide a portfolio of work showcasing a strong sense of UX and UI. If password protected, must provide password to be considered.
Requirements:

- Proficiency in Figma’s auto-layout, components, libraries, branching, styles, and variables.
Nice to Have:
- Experience with or passion for developer experiences, data integrations, and/or supply chain.
- Experience in product design, interaction design, responsive design, information architecture, and accessibility.
- Experience conducting user research and usability testing.
- Ability to justify design decisions and articulate alternative design approaches.
- Experience designing for platform-based products, including creating extensive platform-related designs that address complex user and system needs.
- The ability to thrive in ambiguous environments by helping to define requirements, while providing strategic vision and guidance to align teams and drive outcomes.
Minimum Qualifications:
Product Designer Senior
Three - Four Years experience delivering successful design work. Bachelor's degree/equivalent in Design, Business, or related field. A portfolio of work showcasing a strong sense of visual design. Some Experience collaborating with cross-functional teams in fast-paced environments. Proven ability to work cross-team and synthesize feedback and input from stakeholders. Knowledge or work experience in design, design thinking, or related discipline. Good interpersonal skills. Good written and verbal communication skills.
Product Designer Lead
Bachelor's degree/ equivalent in Design, Business or related field. Five to seven (5 - 7) years experience in design, design thinking, or related discipline, related to projects with ambiguous changes and a highly collaborative environment, including clients in an agency environment. Two (2) years experience in leading design thinking work streams. Moderately advanced human relations and communication skills, including written, verbal, presentation, and digital presentation software. Moderately advanced understanding for user behaviors as it informs design.
Domicile Information: This position can be domiciled anywhere in the United States. The ability to work remotely within the United States may be available based on business needs.
Preferred Qualifications:
Pay Transparency: This compensation range is provided as a reasonable estimate of the current starting salary range for this role across all potential locations. If this opportunity includes multiple job levels, the range is a reasonable estimate of the current starting salary for the lowest level to the current starting salary of the highest level. Actual starting pay would be determined by experience relative to the job, market level, pay at the location for this job and other job-related factors permitted by law. An employee may be eligible for additional pay, premiums, or bonus potential. The Company offers eligible employees health, vision and dental insurance, retirement, and tuition reimbursement.
Pay: Annual Range: $85,920 -150,000
