Description
To manage the design and development activities for a group. Responsibility includes systems and application analysis, programming, feasibility studies, etc.
We are seeking a dynamic and results-oriented manager to lead the IT asset management (ITAM) PMO at FedEx. This role is instrumental in ensuring governance and on-time execution of global strategies for hardware asset management (HAM), software asset management (SAM), cloud cost optimization (FinOps), and third-party software & hardware standards in use at FedEx. The manager role will also lead overseeing the global Tech Spend Review function that ensures all IT spend is in line with corporate goals and tech simplification guidelines. In addition, the role will support the leadership in delivering corporate DRIVE initiatives that are aligned with the ITAM portfolio. This individual must possess strong leadership skills, a strategic mindset, the ability to execute at scale, a professional presence, and a comprehensive understanding of technology and business processes across the FedEx enterprise. Some travel is required.
Essential Functions
- Leadership and Strategy: Develop, organize, and execute strategies to implement and govern a global ITAM practice. Lead the ITAM portfolio for the Data and Technology organization.
- Team Management: Lead and drive a multidisciplinary team of technical professionals and program managers providing guidance and support to peer teams within the enterprise ITAM organization.
- Stakeholder Collaboration: Partner with leaders across the Data and Technology organization, enterprise contract management, global IT and business partners, Information Security, finance, external partners, and many others to provide 100% asset visibility.
- Governance Oversight: Oversee and facilitate governance forums, ensuring the appropriate level of rigor and visibility during execution. Ensure that all compliance and audit needs are met.
- Communication: Provide updates to all levels of stakeholders, including executive leadership, and escalate risks and issues as necessary.
- Execution and Monitoring: Ensure that execution plans are developed with the appropriate level of detail and monitored through delivery. Provide project management function for the enterprise ITAM area.
- Influence Business Decisions: Use fact-based information synthesized from structured and unstructured data to influence strategic business decisions. Build actionable data analytics to inform leadership on the health and progress of the enterprise ITAM function.
- Facilitation: Lead workshops, meetings, and ceremonies to remove barriers, improve collaboration, mitigate risk, and ensure the free flow of information between all impacted stakeholders.
- Standardization and Tooling: Leverage the ServiceNow development team partnership aligning with their Agile development release trains to deliver new ITAM functionalities. Champion and support use of Agile methodology throughout the ITAM organization.
- Decision Making: Maintain a preference for action over inaction when faced with incomplete knowledge and/or limited data sets.
- Risk Management: Identify, assess, and mitigate potential risks and issues that could impact the program's success. Develop and implement contingency plans to address unforeseen challenges. Collaborate closely with Information Security to improve security posture of all FedEx IT assets.
- Change Management: Lead change management initiatives to minimize disruption and maximize adoption of ITAM processes. Develop communication plans to inform stakeholders about the global ITAM practice and its impact. Manage training and support to end-users to facilitate adoption of new capabilities.

Domicile Information:
The primary work location is the FedEx World Technology Center in Collierville, TN, with a hybrid work option. Candidates must live within 50 miles of Collierville, TN.
Minimum Education
Bachelor's Degree/equivalent in computer science, math or directly related quantitative degree or related field.
Minimum Experience
Five (5) years systems development experience which includes programming. Skill in one or more programming languages. If position is in mainframe environment, complex systems experience on IBM operating systems or microprocessors required. Experience in the technical design and development of major data processing projects. IMS experience. If position is in client/server environment, systems development experience to include distributed systems is required. Experience in client/server technology, object oriented (OO) development or case tools. Experience in the technical design and development of major client/server projects.
Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities
Knowledge of software and engineering principles. Strong basic management, human relations, and communication skills.

Pay Transparency: This compensation range is provided as a reasonable estimate of the current starting salary range for this role across all potential locations. If this opportunity includes multiple job levels, the range is a reasonable estimate of the current starting salary for the lowest level to the current starting salary of the highest level. Actual starting pay would be determined by experience relative to the job, market level, pay at the location for this job and other job-related factors permitted by law. An employee may be eligible for additional pay, premiums, or bonus potential. The Company offers eligible employees health, vision and dental insurance, retirement, and tuition reimbursement.
Pay: U.S. Pay Range: $9,208.38/month - $16,575.08/month
