Description
We are looking for an eager and detail-oriented Data Analyst to join our Decision Analytics team. This role offers the opportunity to learn and grow within a fast-paced data-driven organization. You will support key functions in Data Architecture, Data Stewardship, and Data Governance, ensuring the quality, integrity, and proper management of our data assets. You’ll work closely with team members to understand and contribute to best practices for data management, governance, and architecture while supporting various data initiatives across the business.
As part of the team, you will help ensure that our data is well-organized, accurate, and easily accessible for decision-making across the organization.
Key Responsibilities:
- Data Architecture Support:
- Assist in maintaining and updating data models, database schemas, and other components of our data architecture.
- Help ensure that data flows properly between systems, with a focus on consistency and accessibility.
- Collaborate with team members to troubleshoot data-related issues and ensure proper data storage.
- Data Stewardship:
- Assist with managing and documenting data definitions, data classifications, and business rules.
- Conduct data quality checks and identify discrepancies in datasets.
- Support the maintenance of the data catalog and metadata management efforts.
- Help monitor data usage to ensure that it aligns with organizational standards and guidelines.
- Data Governance:
- Assist in implementing data governance policies and practices, including data access control and data privacy protocols.
- Support data owners and business units in ensuring compliance with data governance standards.
- Track data governance activities and help report on data governance performance metrics.
- Data Management/Insights:
- Building and maintain systems and infrastructure needed to store, manage, and process large volumes of data, making it accessible and usable for analysis
- Design and develop software specifically for effective data management and manipulation
- Apply analysis methods and techniques to examine data to gain insights into key business problems and deliverables
- Evaluate data trends and develop fact based actionable insights and recommendations to solve key business problems via the data analysis
- Collaboration & Communication:
- Work with team members across the organization to understand data needs and help ensure data quality and consistency.
- Communicate effectively with business analysts, data engineers, and stakeholders to resolve data issues and improve data processes.
- Participate in regular meetings and collaborate with team members to gain exposure to governance frameworks and best practices.
- Continuous Learning & Development:
- Take part in training and development opportunities to enhance your understanding of data governance, architecture, and data management practices.
- Stay up to date with emerging trends and technologies in data governance and analytics.
Preferred skills, experiences, and key attributes:
- Understanding of data architecture, data governance, and data stewardship principles.
- Proficiency in SQL and an eagerness to learn more advanced data querying techniques.
- Strong attention to detail with the ability to spot data inconsistencies and anomalies.
- Excellent communication and collaboration skills, with a willingness to learn from others.
- Familiarity with data visualization tool Power BI
- Exposure to data governance tools Ab Initio Metadatahub is a plus. Or other data governance tools such as Coolibra, Purview and/or Alation
- Exposure to cloud-based data platforms Azure is beneficial.
- Understanding of APIs ETL/ELT processes and Agile PM methodologies is a plus
- Enthusiastic and eager to learn with a strong interest in data management and governance.
- Detail-oriented and highly organized, with the ability to manage multiple tasks.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with a desire to improve data quality.
- Collaborative mindset with a focus on teamwork and open communication.
Minimum Education
Bachelor's degree in information systems, computer science, or a quantitative discipline such as mathematics, engineering, operations research, economics or Finance.
Minimum Experience
Five (5) years of work experience in measurement and analysis, quantitative business problem-solving, operations analysis, marketing analysis, simulation development, and/or predictive analytics.
Knowledge, Skills and Abilities
Proficiency in analytics software and applications. Good interpersonal skills. Good written and oral communication skills.

Pay Transparency: This compensation range is provided as a reasonable estimate of the current starting salary range for this role across all potential locations. If this opportunity includes multiple job levels, the range is a reasonable estimate of the current starting salary for the lowest level to the current starting salary of the highest level. Actual starting pay would be determined by experience relative to the job, market level, pay at the location for this job and other job-related factors permitted by law. An employee may be eligible for additional pay, premiums, or bonus potential. The Company offers eligible employees health, vision and dental insurance, retirement, and tuition reimbursement.
Pay: U.S Pay Range: $6,511.62 - $10,898.00 (Monthly)
