Plans, direct & manage the overall operation of the MOCC to minimize delays, cancellations & OOS impacts; to assure the coordination of all aircraft maintenance actions of the air operations division; provide a central communications point on all related maintenance information.

Essential Functions

Makes decisions for the operation to support efficient operation of the fleet & the revenue schedule.
Directs & manage planning activities in support of AOD including scheduling of known maintenance items to assure regulatory compliance of the fleet.
Ensures the routing of aircraft is in support of the revenue schedule & schedule maintenance events.
Ensures the creation of achievable work releases. Provides planning input.
Ensures technical support is provided; to identify opportunities to improve reliability of the fleet.
Performs other duties as assigned.

Minimum Education

Associate's degree/equivalent required. Current A&P licenses required.

Minimum Experience

Eight (8) years experience maintaining large transport category aircraft (turbine powered and exceeds 12,500 lbs M.E.W.).

Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities

Thorough knowledge of MOCC and FedEx policies and procedures. Knowledge of FedEx aircraft maintenance programs, operations specifications and applicable portions of the federal air regulations. Strong management, interpersonal, human relations and communication skills.

Job Conditions

FAA covered safety sensitive position. Subject to regulatory alcohol & drug testing, which includes testing for marijuana, PCP, amphetamines, cocaine & opioids. Ability to work in a constant state of alertness and in a safe manner.
