POSITION OVERVIEW:
Provide support to operations to ensure compliance with International/Offshore regulations and policies. Maintain and enhance International/Offshore systems and assist in project management.
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:
Maintain, and apply systems and procedures to ensure compliance with export/import laws and regulations, both domestic and foreign
Review new technology opportunities and/or system enhancements and assist in the development and implementation of International/Offshore projects
Monitor systems, coordinate and develop system enhancements to optimize resources and compliance
Compile, analyze, evaluate data, summarize conclusions and develop recommendations for staffing, scheduling and training to achieve maximum service objectives
Participate in the development of measurement goals, track performance against goals, evaluate results; analyze past performance and determine new goals on a periodic basis
Identify trends and patterns in routine and special management reports regarding profitability including operational cost factors along with recommendations for improvement
Provide procedural guidance and assist personnel in resolving system related issues
Conduct periodic assessments of company performance and activities and direct other business and program activities that impact import/export compliance
Prepare formal management reports and presentations
Comply with all applicable laws/regulations, as well as company policies/procedures
Perform other duties as required
QUALIFICATIONS
Bachelor’s Degree or equivalent work experience plus three (3) years’ Less Than Truckload (LTL) operations, International/Offshore operations, Transportation operations, project management or analytical experience
Working knowledge of international or offshore operations
Thorough understanding of transportation and customer center operations; including but not limited to, how systems may be used in operations planning, staffing and execution
Comprehensive knowledge of Microsoft Word, PowerPoint, Visio, Outlook, SharePoint with working knowledge of Excel (e.g., V-lookup, advanced formulas, Visual Basic macros, pivot tables)
Experience with SAS preferred
Effective presentation skills with the ability to communicate strategies and training solutions
Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
Solid time management, organizational and interpersonal skills
Strong verbal and written communication skills with the ability to interact with different levels within the organization
Self-motivated with the ability to work independently or as a team member
WORKING CONDITIONS:
Hours may vary due to operational need
