Description

Provides training programs within FedEx to specifically address security programs and procedures, including instructing, implementing, coordinating and, as necessary, facilitating a broad range of skills/training programs within security. Develops and delivers proprietary documented training programs for all FedEx security personnel in each discipline and job positions to include management and non-management personnel. Responsible for coordinating the production of training and/or multimedia applications in support of corporate/ division projects.

Essential Functions

  • Provides training programs within FedEx Express on security programs and procedures, including developing and delivering proprietary training programs for all FedEx security personnel.
  • Oversees and tracks initial and recurrent training for the department.
  • Maintains knowledge and skill sets on security industry trends and best practices and be a subject matter expert.
  • Develops and maintains liaison with local, state and federal law enforcement agencies.
  • Investigates, addresses and resolves safety and security threats requires the regular exercise of discretion and independent judgment due to the nature and variety of the threats and the significance of timely, appropriate, and proportionate responses.
  • Performs other duties as assigned.

Minimum Education

Bachelor's degree/equivalent.

Minimum Experience

Five (5) years of instructional design and delivery experience with at least two (2) of these years in classroom instruction, is required.

Knowledge, Skills and Abilities

Knowledge of TSA regulations. Knowledge of anti-terrorism operations.

Operating knowledge of CCTV and theft detection devices.

Highly adept at using Microsoft based computer programs.

The ability to prepare investigative summaries and detailed reports.

Strong human relations, verbal and written communications skills.

Ability to develop, instruct, and implement all FedEx security departmental required training programs.

Job Conditions

Must be bondable.

Ability to successfully complete required training programs.

Ability to operate required equipment safely.

Non-covered safety-sensitive position; ability to work in a constant state of alertness and in a safe manner.

Preferred Qualifications: Law Enforcement training academy management, “Virtual Academy” training platform experience, Firearm Instructor certification, and Tactical training instructor experience. Relocation assistance may be available based upon business needs.
