The goal of the internship program is to identify and train leaders who will go be "boots on the ground," build on assets, and support the needs of youth in under resourced communities in Memphis, using Binghampton as a springboard for world impact.WHO?We are looking for FAT (faithful, available, teachable) interns who can be described in the following ways:- Christian- Highschool graduate- Leader- Relational- Innovative- Self-starter- OrganizerThis internship requires a one-year commitment from August – June.What?Selected interns will get training in evangelism, disciple making, leadership development, and ministry related topics that will equip them to be effective leaders to young people in urban contexts. Interns will get on the job ministry training by being immersed in the daily operations of Eikon. As an intern, key responsibilities will include the following:- Volunteer in neighborhood schools and community center weekly- Assist with existing large groups- Assist with existing bible studies and eventually lead their own- Assist with Eikon programming and events- Attend weekly staff meeting and 1:1 check-ins- Participate in disciple making and ministry training- Weekly church attendance- Adherence to housing policyProgram Benefits- Housing/internet available, if needed- $2,000 monthly salary- On the job ministry training- Evangelism, Disciple making, and leadership training- Opportunity to join a mission trip- Weekly check-ins and monthly evaluations to support growthKey Dates- June 16th – June 30th – Interviews, Offers, and Decisions- 2nd Weekend in August – Move-in days (if needed)- August 15th – OrientationIf you are interested in applying for one of our Intern positions, please fill out our brief interest form and we will send you more information.
