ServiceMax is seeking a dedicated and experienced Safety Manager to oversee and enhance our workplace safety programs in Chattanooga, TN. This role is responsible for ensuring compliance with OSHA regulations, developing and implementing safety policies, and fostering a culture of safety across all levels of the organization. The ideal candidate will be proactive, detail-oriented, and committed to maintaining a safe working environment for all employees.
Requirements
- Develop, implement, and maintain safety policies and procedures in compliance with local, state, and federal regulations (OSHA, EPA, etc.).
- Conduct regular safety audits, inspections, and risk assessments to identify hazards and implement corrective actions.
- Investigate accidents, incidents, and near misses, and prepare reports with recommendations for prevention.
- Lead safety training sessions for employees, ensuring proper handling of equipment and adherence to safety protocols.
- Ensure compliance with all safety regulations and maintain necessary safety documentation and records.
- Collaborate with management and employees to promote a strong safety culture and continuous improvement.
- Develop and oversee emergency response plans, including fire safety, first aid, and evacuation procedures.
- Monitor and evaluate workplace conditions, ergonomics, and environmental factors affecting employee safety.
- Serve as the primary point of contact for regulatory agencies and represent the company during safety inspections.
Qualifications & Experience:
- Bachelor’s degree in Occupational Health & Safety, Environmental Science, or a related field (preferred).
- Minimum of 3–5 years of experience in a safety management role, preferably in a service, construction, or industrial environment.
- In-depth knowledge of OSHA regulations, safety best practices, and risk management principles.
- Strong leadership skills with the ability to influence and engage employees at all levels.
- Excellent communication and training abilities, both verbal and written.
- Certification in safety programs (e.g., OSHA 30, CSP, CHST) is a plus.
- Ability to analyze safety data and trends to implement effective safety programs.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and safety management software.
