Position: Graphic Design Team Lead

Reports To: Director of Strategic Initiatives

Hours: 40/week

Position Summary:

The Graphic Design Team Lead is a versatile, hands-on creative who can manage multiple design priorities while guiding a small team. This position requires adaptability, leadership, and the ability to shift between strategic oversight and detailed production work. The role combines design execution, project management, and collaboration across departments to ensure our brand and creative output are consistently high-quality, timely, and aligned with company goals.

Responsibilities:

• Lead and mentor a small design team, providing feedback, creative direction, and project guidance.
• Create, edit, and deliver a wide range of design assets including marketing campaigns, social media graphics, presentations, proposals, signage, infographics, email campaigns, and event collateral.
• Oversee and maintain brand guidelines to ensure consistent visual identity across all platforms.
• Collaborate with internal teams to translate business needs into creative concepts and finished deliverables.
• Manage project timelines, delegate work effectively, and balance multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.
• Support digital initiatives including web updates, social media graphics, photography coordination, and video editing.
• Partner with leadership on design strategy, creative vision, and long-term brand development.
• Maintain awareness of industry trends, tools, and technologies to continuously improve design quality and efficiency.
• Commit to workflow and file management systems, ensuring organized, accessible design resources.

Experience:

• Bachelor’s degree in graphic design, visual communications, or related field OR 4+ years of relevant design experience.
• Previous experience leading or mentoring designers preferred.
• Strong portfolio demonstrating versatility across print, digital, and branding projects.
• Ability to balance creative direction with practical execution in a small-company environment.

Software:

• Adobe Creative Suite (Illustrator, Photoshop, InDesign)
• Microsoft Office – Word, Excel, PowerPoint
• After Effects, Premiere Pro, or other motion/animation tools (preferred, but not required)
• Web design or CMS experience (preferred, but not required)

Physical Requirements:

• Involves work of a general office nature, typically includes extended periods of sitting and/or operation of a computer for up to 8 hours a day
• In-office work required, with occasional event support or offsite production needs.
