BILINGUAL PROGRAM COORDINATOR

Job Type: Full-Time

Salary: $37,000 per year

The Community Legal Center (CLC’s) mission is to provide civil legal services to those with limited means and those at risk, including populations not served by other legal aid agencies. This comes from our conviction that regardless of one’s circumstance in life, each person deserves the opportunity to seek justice. Only when other basic needs have been met do most people have sufficient income to pay for a private lawyer.

POSITION SUMMARY:

The Community Legal Center (CLC), a 501(c)(3) nonprofit organization based in Memphis, Tennessee, is seeking a dedicated Bilingual Program Coordinator to join our team. The ideal candidate will demonstrate a strong commitment to advancing justice for low‑income individuals and other vulnerable populations. In this role, the Program Coordinator will manage client intake, coordinate program activities, and support the Executive Director in advancing organizational priorities, ensuring efficient operations and expanding CLC’s capacity to serve the community.

EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE

  • Fluency in English and Spanish, with the ability to effectively communicate, read, and write in both languages
  • At least two years of college or equivalent work experience
  • Proficient in Google Suite, Word, Excel, and Power Point

SKILLS AND QUALIFICATIONS:

  • Excellent organizational and time-management skills to prioritize and handle multiple tasks effectively

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Answer the intake hotline, return calls, screen prospective clients, and coordinate the intake process
  • Make appropriate referrals to partner agencies and community organizations
  • Log, track, and maintain records of all voicemails
  • Schedule qualifying clients for legal clinics and other appointments
  • Provide administrative support to the Executive Director, including scheduling, correspondence, and preparation of reports for the board and funders
  • Interpret conversations between English and Spanish to ensure clear communication and equitable access to services
  • Coordinate, and support volunteers
  • Compile and report monthly call statistics
  • Collaborate effectively with other office staff to ensure smooth daily operations
  • Represent and promote the Community Legal Center in the community through outreach and engagement
  • Perform additional tasks and responsibilities as directed, ensuring adaptability and a proactive approach to organizational needs
