Christ Methodist Day School seeks an Early Childhood teacher to join its faculty for the 2026-27 school year. Our Early Childhood department is made up of 2K, PK and JK, students ages 2 to 5. Each grade level works as a team to plan, develop, and implement curriculum and age-appropriate activities. The candidate must be passionate about teaching and fostering a joy of learning in our youngest students. He or she should be willing to try new things and embrace new technology and curriculum while also adhering to the many traditions CMDS holds dear. An understanding of how to assess young children, as well as knowledge of a standards-based grading scale, is beneficial. Our Early Childhood faculty members should possess a gentle demeanor, be observant of students’ needs, and have an overall love of children. Qualifications: Bachelor's or Master's degree in education or a related field; prior teaching experience; the ability to be an active participant on the grade-level teaching team, bringing fresh ideas to the age-appropriate curriculum; an understanding of and familiarity with a balanced approach to technology; and a genuine love of children’s education.
