Christ Methodist Day School seeks an Upper School classroom teacher to join its faculty for the 2026-27 school year. Our Upper School consists of 3rd-6th grade and is departmentalized by subject. Each grade level works as a team to plan, develop, and implement curriculum and projects. The candidate must be passionate about teaching and fostering excitement in elementary students. He or she should be willing to try new things and embrace new technology and curriculum while also adhering to the many traditions CMDS holds dear. Qualifications: Bachelors or Masters degree in education or a related field; prior teaching experience; the ability to be an active participant on the grade-level teaching team, understanding of and the ability to teach Math, Language Arts and Literature or Science and Social Studies; bringing fresh ideas to the project-oriented curriculum; an understanding of and familiarity with a balanced approach to technology; and a genuine love of children’s education.
